i am in agreement with Ruud van Nistelrooy the refs in this game were horrific. the first two goal for liverpool were complete bullshit. Liverpool was the stronger team but those two goals should not have counted. It made it extremely difficult for madrid to come back. the score of that game should have been Liverpool 2, Real Madrid 1 if homeboy woulkd have headed it instead of tried to volley it for Madrid.

I’m no liverpool fan but I always enjoy to see Real Madrid on the receiving end of a thrashing. Well played pool, if it wasn’t for Casillas, it could have been 6-0 or 7-0. I do feel sorry for Sporting Lisbon though, Bayern Munchen had no mercy with them!

Great night for Liverpool. Truly great when you consider that even Lucas could have joined Dossena on the score sheet late in the game :p

Real weren’t simply on the same level as Europe. Five consecutive exits in Europe in the round of 16 don’t speak too highly of a club which originally dominated this competition.

credit must go 2 liverpool they did the job the way it should be done, take nothing away from them. but @ the same time, u ve got 2 feel sorry 4 madrid the 1st and second goal was kind of a hard call by the match officials, apart from that real madrid were absolutely aweful in all departments of the game 2nite. liverpool were the better side on the day and as rafa said they don’t get the credit the deserve especially in europe. let’s see what united will do 2morrow with all the noise about a quintiple. just the kind of victory liverpool needs as they look forward to old trafford this weekend. its promises 2 be explosive especially if 4 any reason united slip up against inter,it will do alot of good to liverpool’s confidence, looking forward to saturday. old trafford here we come.

First 2 goals from obvious wrong calls. Probably didn’t matter much but you can never know. Anyway, it’s a joke that games at this level are decided by such reffing.

To be fair that Pepe pull decision could have gone either way, some refs give it some don’t, saying that though (regardless of the fact that it was just that Pepe who slipped) and sure that penalty wasn’t one but as a Man United fan even I agree that Liverpool deserved to win I bet Ronaldo is counting himself lucky now that he never went!

And it wasn’t a fould from Torres for the first. I just saw it again.. (4 times form different angles) and Torrest DIDN’t pull him down. Pepe slipped/fell.

Referee is a gay excuse. Ok si even if those 2 goals weren’t allowed still other to so you SHUT THE F(_)CK UP!!! Liverpool dominated all 180 minutes both at madrid and liverpool!! Casillas was the only player for Madrid both at spain and england.
