I’m still not sure about it. In the meantime I saw a video and I’m pretty sure Gerrard fouled, but not also that he did it on purpose. He may have, in fact I do think he did, but sure I cannot be, it’s also very possible that he just went for the ball in a somewhat lively manner, which would be totally understandable given the circumstances. So I’m not certain at all it was any sort of a dive, however I am certain that it was no penalty, and he was aware of that when he took it.

Anyway, I know I’m a broken record but I have to stress this out, this is a textbook case for the video ref if I ever saw one. No game interruption, since the ref stopped it anyway. Minute 95, he’s unsure what to do, goes and talks it over with the linesman – and they decide this. I really can’t think of any reasonable objection somebody could have that at least in such clear-cut situations, video evidence be allowed.

HT they were singing “Liverpoooool” we stood up and cheered them and then we cheered them again at FT and they did back. Perhaps it is a minority of Atleti fans that cause the bother because i think i got a better atmosphere than the kop.

We carved chance after chance but without a prolific goal scorer in our team we lacked the finish, i think because of how much we dominated we should have had the game finished before Atleti scored. I can’t recall Reina having to make a save.
