This summer is going to be massive for Liverpool. For the first time in many years, Champions League will be back at Anfield and there seems to be a proper transfer planning in place, as Liverpool are looking to bolster their squad in order to balance both domestic and European commitments simultaneously.

Iago Aspas

Already, the club have signed Rickie Lambert from Southampton and have agreed a deal for Emre Can, and if the reports are to be believed, are on the verge of signing Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno as well.

However, there could be few exodus at the same time. And at this moment, three Liverpool players are facing an uncertain future.

First, there is Iago Aspas, who was a signed from Celta Vigo last summer. Aspas has only made a handful of appearances for the Reds and his future seems lie away from Anfield. According to The Sunday Times, Liverpool have asked Aspas to decide whether to accept the bench role at Anfield or move elsewhere to get regular games. Should he accept the later option, the Anfield club will seek a full return of the £7.2m, they paid for him.

Secondly, the future of Luis Alberto is also doubtful. The young Spaniard like Aspas has failed to make any bright impression last season. He could be sold on loan to Malaga but the club are unwilling to subsidise his salary. Instead, the forward has been asked to sacrifice 20% of his wages to join the La Liga outfit.

And, finally Suso, the bright young Spanish bloke graduated from Liverpool academy. He did well last season on loan, but could leave Anfield permanently. Portugal newspaper O Jogo reports Portugal club FC Porto are in talks with Liverpool to sign him. Suso has one year left on his contract and shouldn’t be too expensive if he wants a move.
