Hopefully Liverpool can keep this pace up, if we can get to the new year at or around the top i think we'll have a good chance to win the EPL. As for the team i completely agree with Liverpool_Fan.

In response to Ahmed, every team has players that win fouls, whilst i don't personally like it, its no reason to take that any from Arbeloa and Pennant who have both been performing well. You might also want to remember that Ronaldo's well known for throwing himself to the ground

Agreed - Liverpool do have a talented young squad now, although I wouldn't smile at Pennant or Arbeloa (both players know how to win fouls, I'll give them that).

UnitedForLife man united fan not completely critising Liverpool :) wow this is weird!!!

Im really happy with our season i think rotation can work out now that we have decent back up. I must say ive always been jealous of the young talent man u and Arsenal have but now im looking at our young talent with a smile :)

Agger, Arbeloa, Reina, Mascherano, Pennant, Sissoko, Leiva, Babel and Torres :) hope we hold on to these players for years to come!!

I like this article. This must be the first LFC article that does not center around Gerrard (if I'm not mistaken, his name does not even appear in the article). Nice. (Would have been very nice if you didn't pull the Glazers in :-) ). It shows that some people actually respect the rest of their team.

I also have a feeling that LFC will stay top till about November/December. I must admit, I'm anxious to see the Pool-Chelsea games.

Unusual. A comment by a manc that is unbiased.

I agree that we need to be consistent throughout the season. That is an obvious point to make. The champions any season need to show consistency. I don't agree with thye rotation comment though. Mourinho and Ferguson have both rotated as much over the past few seasons. Chelsea and Man U have both won the league rotating there squad to the same extent Rafa does.

I am not going to say that we will win the league this year. However, I do think this is the best chance we have had in a long time. Liverpool historically play better in the second half of the season; especially in in our recent history. I disgree with the first comment about us being caught up by Xmas. If we are there or thereabouts at Xmas I can see it going right to the wire.

Come on you reds!

I must say that from what I have seen of Liverpool so far, I have been very impressed indeed. But if the last few years have revealed anything about Liverpool, it has to be the following two points:

1- They needed to create more chances, and more importantly to convert them.
2- They need to be more consistent.

The first point seems to have been rectified with the aquistions made this summer by Rafa.
The second point, which will dictate Liverpool's season, must still be of concern. Rafa's rotation policy is well known, and if he keeps it up this season, he might just waste away the best chance Liverpool have had of winning the league for many years!
