Liverpool To Sign former Man Utd player From Real Madrid?
According to latest reports, Premier League club Liverpool are eying Argentine international defender Gabriel Heinze.
Heinze is currently at Spanish champions Real Madrid and although he is playing more or less regularly, he is not at all rated by the Bernabeu faithful. The versatile Argentine international defender was signed by Real Madrid in the summer of 2007 from Premier League powerhouse Manchester United for around €10 million.
But he was also wanted by Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez at the time but Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson declined to sell Heinze to his Premier League rivals. But Liverpool seem to have sustained their interest in the player and are now allegedly interested in signing him.
It’s being said that Rafa Benitez would like to sign the experienced 30-year old in January but it is unlikely that Real Madrid would even think of letting the player leave. The Spanish championships are enduring a torrid time at the moment and have several of their players suffering injury problems, especially in their defensive department.
every time i’ve seen heinze play for madrid he’s made 3+ mistakes per game.He’s not been the same since that season long injury at manyoo.
Injuries have done Heinze in unfortunately. If it’s actually true that Beitez wants to sign him, frankly, I’m speechless.
How much worse does Benitez’ transfer record have to get before Liverpool fans start to call him out. Hes already bought 2 full-backs this year who are not even as good as the 2 average ones he had.
They may be top of the PL thru great fortune at present but come March/April they’ll be nowhere to be seen. Mark my words.

Rafa for baghdad! Get rid of the git. LIverpool r so boroing to watch of late. With “try hards” like Keane kuyt, and that useless little imp lucas, we will never win da league. I’m not saying they dont try hard and work hard, but they are championship players at best. Piss rafa of to valencia, and get us a manager with some flair, and start making football interesting again.
