Liverpool set to complete £38m triple deals this week

Share

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers vowed to invest money received from the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona into the squad, and it seems, the Reds manager is on the right track to sculpt the squad to his own taste.

Already the Reds have signed four players this summer but Rodgers is looking to add more bodies, as he understands the need to have necessary depth in the squad in order to fight on both domestic and European fronts.

The Times journalist Tony Barrett claims that Liverpool are closing in on signing three players, Remy, Origi and Lovren, and if all things so smoothly, deals could be clinched within this week only.

French striker Loic Remy will complete his medical in Boston and join the Liverpool squad at the start of the pre-season tour of the United States. Liverpool have agreed a £8m deal with QPR for the France international and certainly his arrival will mark the end of Liverpool’s pursuit of Swansea’s Wilfried Bony.

Belgium striker Divock Origi has already informed Liverpool that he wished to join the Reds in the summer and a provision has been made for him to travel to Boston as well.

Liverpool are paying £9.8m for Origi, who is likely to remain at the French club on loan next season before moving to Anfield in 2015.

Liverpool are also closing in on Southampton’s Dejan Lovren, after reports emerged the Saints are ready to accept the club’s £20 million offer for the defender.

  1. Liverpool might become this season’s Hot-spurs. Why buy too many players as if they had no player last season!!!!!!! Their problem was in defense, but one wonders and fails to understand why they are concentrating on ‘cheap’ quality strikers and midfielders #ynwa

    • If we are buying too many players, it’s because we are playing in one more important competition (champions league). Even last year We had a thin squad. Remember Daniel Sturridge was not always available and we managed with Suarez( luckily for us he was injury free). Towards the end crucially we did not have Hendo to do the running in midfield and we missed him badly. So if we are beefing up the squad, then nothing wrong with that. Sometimes a quality player like Isco could end up with one of our rivals like spurs so we need to go for him as well. I am sure after playing together for one season with a new Gk, there will be a better understanding this year in the heart of the defence. #YNWA

    • Liverpool are increasing the depth in the squad because next year they have many games including UCL.Moreover you cannot compete with big guns like Buyern muninchen and Madrid with a small squad.Let BR bring more players because he had a big deal on the sale of Luis Suarez.##YNWA

    • we bought expensive players likeandy carrol but what did he do? we bought suarez at what prize i know you can answer your self i think by buying them is the wise desicion

  2. Liverpool need to sign hungry players and not squad players

  3. Brandan thanks for the first 4 signings bt pliz hlp us & buy for us a left back. Isco is not needed coz we hv lalana & phillipe thanx

  4. Plz Rodgers, build on our defence mainly and leave these crowd on d midfield cos we ve got enough quality in dt midfield already. If u must add another midfielder let it be RUES. YNWA!

  5. At this rate, LFC may finish among the top ten this coming season

  6. Its good to sign players but let it be of a quality. Cos we are playing in Europe and the local league. So its good to have enough player to play not to over stress any player.

  7. Brendan is trying to replace Aspas, Borini and Suarez and to strengthen the squad. So watch him

  8. We need players that are yawning for trophies and who are willing to give in their best…ynwa

  9. First of all Respect for br as he brough us from no 7 in 2012/13 to no 2 in 2013/14 season so it’s enough to know who he is with a good looking flowing football & creativity he has brought at anfield and we no dought in any signings he is making 5qyjust leave him alone let him do his thing as we wait for another season coz “we are liverpool”ynwaaa.

  10. I believe rodgers is moving in d right direction. He being d coach sees more dn we do.so we shud free him jor 2 continue wt his gud wrk.YNWA

  11. Thank u Rodgers for all our new signings.Don’t mind the market noise.Let Mr. Know More ignore.T W T.Just do ur best and God will do the rest.
We’ll never walk along u know that.

  12. I am confident with what BR is doing. It is always a gamble when recruiting players but BR idea is to have midfield players who score goals with various options and I indeed maintain possession to stifle opposition so Isco if available he fits the system
