Liverpool have made an offer (details of the offer is not known as of yet) for Barcelona and former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song, according to reports from Spain.

Yesterday, Catalan newspaper Sport published a story where they claimed Liverpool are among the interested parties willing to sign Song, who has had a tough period in Spain, since he joined from Arsenal in 2012.

Song, who has been often been used as a central defender at Barcelona, made only 19 league appearances last season and was linked with a move to Manchester United back in June.

Barcelona are keen to sell him but it remains to be seen whether any club is prepared to match his €4m-per-year wage demands.

Today Sport has another update on this saga. They claim, both Liverpool and Galatasaray have made an offer for him, with the later want him to join on loan.

Song himself want to sort out his future at the earliest and Sport claim that he would be making a decision, that choosing an offer within ‘next few hours’.
