After missing out on Mohamed Salah, who joined Chelsea, Liverpool have turned their attention to Blackpool’s Tom Ince.

Tom Ince Liverpool join the race to sign....Tom Ince?

According to Sky Sports, the Reds have entered the race to sign the youngster, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Sky Sports reported earlier that several Premier League clubs like Swansea, Hull City, Stoke and Sunderland are all interested to get his signature.

In a statement, Blackpool said: “Following discussions with Thomas Ince and his representative, permission has been given for Thomas to discuss a loan move to a Premier League club.

“Thomas has expressed his ambition to play in the Premier League for the remainder of the season, a decision that the club fully understands and supports.”

Ince who graduated from Liverpool’s youth academy joined Blackpool in 2011 and was linked with a return to Anfield in the last summer as well.

The young attacking midfielder has made 12 appearances for the England U21 side and is Blackpool’s leading scorer with seven goals in the Championship this season.

Liverpool fans will be further frustrated after Brendan Rodgers has admitted in his press conference that “there is nothing imminent” on transfers.

  2. never mind ince go for danny ings from burnley much better alround player

  3. Brendan Rodgers has no option than to say “there is nothing imminent” on transfers, afterall he was left red faced over Mo Salah. As far as he was concerned, he told the club who he wanted, and the team (Ayre and whoever else) were responsible for bringing them in. Unfortunately we failed to get him because we faffed around too much. Mourinho actually rang Salah himself and told him he must join, and that he was wanted very much by Chelsea football club. Maybe Liverpool should take a leaf out of that book, and make a player feel wanted, by a) negotiating with the club fairly (as apposed to offering what we feel is the value of the player) and b) getting Rodgers himself speak to the player and tell them that they are most wanted. Salah favoured Liverpool up until Mourinho made the phonecall. Hopefully ”there is nothing imminent” actually means “we’re doing business behind closed doors” and we sign Yarmolenko & Will Hughes on deadline day! ;-)

Oh, and you only need three full stops for leading dots (…) not four. Just saying.
