Liverpool have begun talks to sign the talented Brazilian winger Anderson Talisca from Benfica.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to add some flair and pace to his attack and Talisca has been identified as an alternative to Mario Gotze.

The Bayern Munich star was a target for Klopp, but he is closing in on a return to Borussia Dortmund.

Talisca has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past and the Reds will have to trigger his release clause to sign him this summer.

Although there are concerns about the player getting a work permit, Liverpool are ready to pursue the Jorge Mendes client.

The player has a 45 million Euros release clause and no club is likely to pay that much for an unproven talent at this moment. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can bring the price down with negotiations over the next few days.

The report adds that the Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is in London to negotiate the transfer of the Brazilian to an unnamed Premier League club.

Meanwhile, in other news, the unwanted Liverpool keeper Adam Bogdan has completed his loan move to Wigan according to BBC.

The 28 year old joined the Reds on a free transfer from Bolton last summer and will continue his career with the Championship outfit.

Klopp has signed German keeper Loris Karius this summer and with Mignolet already at the club, Bogdan’s chances of getting a game are next to none.

Talented young keeper Danny Ward has also been loaned out to gain some first team experience.
