Liverpool 4-2 Arsenal – Video Highlights – Goals and Babel Dive
Yet again another controversial match with the referee playing a big part on it. Arsenal was poised for the semi finals with the score 2-2 but the referee awarded Liverpool a controversial penalty. Arsenal crumbled after that.

Penalty was debatable, but if it is debatable then the ref has every right to give it. There was tussling with 2 players and the Babel honestly goes down without much appealing.
Who cares anyway, the better team went through.
Was it a penalty? Does David Seaman wish he was born with a different last name!?
If that was a penalty then so was the on in the first leg, and so I believe the final score wouldve been 4-4 on aggregate with Arsenal goin through on away goals. As they wouldnt have got caught on the counter for the last one from babel.
Im not an arsenal fan but I genuinely belive that the best team over the two legs lost.
That was NO penalty. Another shocking decision against Arsenal. Stonewall penalty in the 1st leg not given, then Liverpoor get this. I’m absolutely gutted. We should appeal and try to get a re-match. Undeserved result.
I definitely agree with stefanos.Everything went wrong against arsenal.It was our match.We were favourites.Liv just got lucky that night!!!i am so dissatisfied with stupid penalty decisions like that!!!
WHAT!!!!!!!!! how can u say the better team went through!!!Arsenal got ripped off with a poor decision at the emirates and again at anfield. There was a slight grab by Toure but not enough to bring someone down!!!
it is so frustrating, sports are so bias these days and constantly poor decisions are made by the umpires/ referees. Arsenal have been unlucky this season and i would hate to see a one man team (you know what team i mean) win the EPL!Let alone liverpool in the UCL!
I’m a Liverpool fan, and personally I think it was a dive and the ref was siding with Liverpool throughout the 2 legs. I noticed it throught the Arsenal/Milan game also.
What I think! Is that Michel Platini is fixing the games to get back at Arsenal, as he has vengefully hit out at Arsenal and Wenger for giving youngsters a chance because they aren’t eligible for their domestic league, so they come to England in search of first team football, and it seems to work better than in other leagues. Its easy to do and get away with, especially if you offer alot of money, and Uefa and Platini have alot of it. I’m am very sure tehy are stewing in their seats over 3 English teams in the Semi’ anyway. But yh Arsenal were the better team, they have been very Unlucky, and I think it is all to do with when Eduardo got injured, a big psychological blow which left them distraught over this happening to a friend, and team mate! They’ll be back with avengeance next season no doubt, I just hope we dont meet them in the champ league again! :S

Whether penalty or not…it is debatable…av watched the replay a thousand times and am sure if u were to ask all the refs in the world it will still b a 50-50 decision…half giving it,half not….
Babel din’t go down easily and one thing unlike the so called Hleb’s penalty…It was clear for all to see from a thousand miles away that Hleb had no intention goal but was out to get a penalty…n to me i believe that was a great call by the ref.As for the idiots who are claimimn arsenal could hav won coz of that…u r just that…idiots.Reina is one of the best stoppers in the world,even if u were given it,who told u u would have scored.Also liverpool has one of the greatest fighting spirits in the world…who said thay would’nt have been able to pull one or is it 2 back….At the end of it all the game was exactly what soccer games should be…adrenaline,tension,decisions…good or not

Just sounds like your a liverpool junky! Liverpool ARE crap in th league, so they can’t call themselves TRUE champions of europe if they lose to teams like Reading adn Everton, and always find it a struggle to get into the top 4 of England, and have not won the league for ages.. Arsenal/Man U/Chelsea are almost guranteed to get into the Champions league spots. Whereas Liverpool aren’t really.
I’m a Wolves fan, and have an unbias view of the league, but I wouldn’t count Liverpool as a quality team. They have almost a new team every season, new players in out with older players, which is why they do well in the champ league as they become almost an unknown quantity to eruo teams, and flop in the league because they cant gel correctly. Wenger won the 03/04 league unbeaten because he didnt spend anything major, only spent on his reserve squad. The team he used in the unbeaten season was teh one he used from the season before so they had a better chemistry than the other teams. Which is what Liverpool NEVER do! They get excited about money they come into and get unprofessionally carried away.
And by the way, I never got that NEVER WALK ALONE CRAP! Of course you don’t, no football fan does STUPID!! You just nicked the song from someone else, you werent the first club to use the song, LOADS of clubs had that slogan before and used teh song, so you just COPIED them….

I am a Liverpool fan, and please Babel did not dive. Arsenal were the better team over the two legs and are arguably the best attacking team in Europe. I can understand the upset and frustration of the Arsenal fans but that’s football unfortunately, I know the penalty incidents were huge points in the game, but I reiterate penalties never garuntee goals, especially with Reina in goal. We have not been good enough in the league, but we are by no means crap, you only have to look at arguably the greatest ever UCL Final in 2005 that doesn’t happen when a team doesn’t have quality. Liverpool are a quality team, not on the par of Man UTD, Arsenal & Chelsea yet but we are getting there. Some of the comments that have been posted although they contain some good substance, listen don’t hate, and use this as an oppertunity to take a pop. Arsenal are a great team and were desperately unlucky. I think this should be more of an oppertunity to express our views as football fans as well as supporters of our respective teams. Trent, which one man team will win the EPL? I see out of the possible 3, 3 great squads with real quality players who have all played thier part in getting thier teams to thier respective positions….So NO! I don’t know any one man team that may win the Premier League! YNWA is stupid yeh……whateva, again hating, i’m sure some of you can appreciate that it is special to walk out at Anfield with the chorus playing, and the scarves held up high, one of the best scenes to witness at a premier league ground, and i’m pretty sure that the majority of the footballing world would agree!
hether babel dive or not both arsenal and liv dont deserve the trophy it is for d champions of england d red devils .love them n be always happy ?hate them n u will surely fall.sorry to ballack n mikel who are real enemies of d red .i hate them
