Liverpool 2007/2008 Away & Third Kits (Adidas)
There’s been plenty of debate and discussion on what the new Liverpool kits would look like – several fake images were circulated but Adidas were always going to wait until after the Champions League final to reveal the new Liverpool shirts, and now they’ve done exactly that, albeit in fancy effort to build some momentum / suspense going into the launch.
Over at the Adidas website, they have the countdown running on when the new Liverpool away and third kits will be revealed.
Over at the EPL Talk Blog (thanks for doing the legwork guys), they’ve confirmed that these two are the new Liverpool away and third kits for the 2007/2008 season (see the away and third kit pics on the Adidas website).
Personally, the away kit is too plain for my taste – other clubs doing white kits have done a far better job. However, I like the third kit – it’s stylish although in the end you’ll have to wait to see them wear it on the pitch before knowing for sure if its good or not.

That away kit is awful. The shorts totally clash with the top. The third kit is much better colour-wise but I don’t get how the club crest is pasted right in the centre of the chest. And adidas may have totally overdone the whole “asymmetrical stripes” concept here.

May 30th, 2007 @ 10:39why the Liverpool-logo in both the kits are displaced. Imagine after scoring a goal, the player wants to kiss the logo he needs to be careful. He may end up kissing the Adidas logo instead!

May 30th, 2007 @ 19:38away shirt looks great! but the shorts look awful with it. ive seen a better version with the sponser in white and white shorts with red stripes. that looks much better.
May 30th, 2007 @ 21:49the european away…not much to say really, i buy all liverpool shirts when they come out but sadly i wont be rushing out to buy this one!!! why change the european away? the one we have at the moment is a great shirt and has hardly been worn!!!
aslong as all the shirts have some new top class names on the back then there will be no problem what they look like!!!

May 31st, 2007 @ 03:24The current template design in use for Chelsea and Liverpool is much better. I am dissapointed Adidas has felt the need to “modernize” the look witht he ridiculous shoulder striping. As a CFC fan, this launch was big for me because it will look similar to my own club’s shirts, and I feel bad for both Liverpool and Chelsea suppporters that we will have to put up with this for two years.

I think i would rather use the home shorts with the away shirt because i think it would look alot better.
And for the 3rd shirt, not sure whats going on with the color on it but i think it looks great and cant wait to buy them both.

June 1st, 2007 @ 03:16i like these shirts and the euro kit will look better with the euro badges on it, adidas are the best sports make around, look at the manu kits last season they look so old fashioned compared to the modern look of the adidas kits.

Although I am glad that awful yellow kit has gone, to replace something like that, with something like this.. Bring back the old days of quality kits!

August 13th, 2007 @ 19:14i think the away jersey is alright. it was nice when it was used to play against Aston Vila. i however don’t like the third one because the colour is just not nice, the stripe from the neck down and how the crest is placed right in the centre is just not good enough.
