Ligue 1 Le Havre in for Manchester United striker Manucho

According to the Daily Mirror, struggling Ligue 1 side Le Havre are in negotiations with Manchester United for striker Manucho.

Newly-promoted Le Havre currently sit bottom of Ligue 1, with 12 points from 19 matches. After leading Ligue 2 in goals last season on the way to winning the championship, the first half of their Ligue 1 campaign has seen them score only 14 goals, which is the second-lowest total in the league behind fellow promoted side Grenoble (13).

Manucho is far down the pecking order at United, and the chance for regular first-team action in a top European league would not be one to pass up.

The Angolan international had a successful loan spell at Panathinaikos last season, helping the club gain entrance into the Champions League qualifying rounds (which they’ve taken full advantage of). And even if he can’t help Le Havre stay up, a successful run there could open up opportunities for him, whether they’re at United or elsewhere.

I’m surprised Fergie hasn’t given him more of an opportunity even in Carling Cup games. He’s highly rated but you have to give him an opportunity or let him go.
    It’s not like he’s a kid afterall.
