Liverpool are close to making Alberto Moreno their next signing in the summer, if the reports are to be believed. It’s been all over in the media for the past one month. What we do know is that Liverpool are ready to offer €22m for the highly rated left-back, who was also a reported target of Premier League rivals Chelsea.
Alberto Moreno so far has remained silent all these days. And when asked to comment on his future, he still remained tight lipped but hinted of a move in a suave way. He said as quoted by Estadio Deportivo:
“All I know is I’m a Sevilla fan since I was kid. I don’t know about any moves, my father and agent are handling that.”
Well, he clearly says that he is not aware of any moves but may be that is a ploy to get rid of unnecessary media attentions.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported yesterday that defender has already reached an agreement with Liverpool. He will be given a five year contract as the negotiation between the two parties have gone well.
The report said, Moreno could cost around €22m and could be presented at Anfield within next week. Liverpool have already signed Rickie Lambert from Southampton and have agreed a deal in principle for Emre Can.
