Larissa Riquelme wins the ‘real’ World Cup for Paraguay
Larissa Riquelme was born on February 22, 1985 in Asuncion, Paraguay. She is a model and actress and as of 2010, she is the best paid model in Paraguay. She rose to international fame after she was seen celebrating a Paraguayan goal against Italy at the 2010 World Cup with her Nokia phone between her breasts (reportedly as part of a promotion for the mobile phone manufacturers).
She is the face of Axe deodorant in Paraguay and at a later Paraguay game at the World Cup, she was also seen with the word ‘Axe’ written on her chest as a promotion for the deodorant.
She became one of the most searched for persons on the internet and she was named “World Cup’s Girlfriend” by the Spanish sports newspaper, Marca. Definitely, she is the most famous fan of this World Cup.
After the Argentinean legend and coach Diego Maradona promised to run naked through Buenos Aires if Argentina won the World Cup, Larissa matched the offer and promised that she would run wearing only body paint in colors of Paraguay through Asuncion if Paraguay won the World Cup or even if they reached the semifinals by beating Spain.
Paraguay lost to Spain but she announced that she would fulfill her promise anyway. Can’t wait!
She is said to be dating a soccer player in Mexico in the third division.
