> Led by the combined talents of Xavi, Iniesta, Henry, Messi and Eto’o, Barca surged to an exceptional treble which established the Catalan club as the most formidable on the planet.

Not really.

Too-quickly-forgotten problems aside, it will indeed be interesting to watch the eternal Real - Barca duel. After spending this much (BTW, if ManU had ever done even half of what Real did this summer, I guess Platini would have died of a heart attack), they *have* to win something, except that it will be difficult to be better than Barca who haven't had to pay practically nothing. And with Messi, Xavi and Iniesta still improving, as well as Guardiola, with their formidable and time-proven group cohesion, they'll most likely be even stronger this season. While Real are only beginning to build a team.

So what happens if Barca beat them domestically as well as in Europe ? The reasonable thing would be to swallow it and have patience for another year or 2. But will they do it after spending this kind of money ?
It will be interesting to see, anyway.

Great preview!

Should be an exciting season in Spain. How will the new Real start? If they gel quickly they could be spectacular.

It's a given that Barca will be quality. Atletico and Sevilla are good sides but I see it being a two horse race that could go right down to the wire.
