Liverpool are close to wrapping up a three year deal for the former Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp.

The German is set to replace Brendan Rodgers at Anfield this week and will sign a three year contract with the Reds.

Liverpool owners FSG, wanted to hire the German manager when they took over at Anfield, but the Dortmund manager was keen to continue his legacy in Borussia.

However, Liverpool’s American owners have finally got their man now. According to reports from Telegraph, BBC, Guardian and The Times, Klopp is set to arrive on Merseyside on Thursday and will be presented on Friday.

With the arrival of a new manager, there are always rumours of new signings.

Liverpool fans are expecting the German to raid Dortmund in January and it seems they might get their wish after all.

According to reports, Neven Subotic is keen to see if Klopp ends up at Liverpool and would be willing to join him at his new club.

The Serbian defender has been vocal about his love for the Premier League and is keen to play in England.

Liverpool are in desperate need of a right sided centre back and Subotic fits the bill perfectly. The Dortmund man can form a solid defensive partnership alongside Mamadou Sakho.

It will be interesting to see whether Klopp decides to go for Dortmund players, when the window re-opens in January. But there is no doubt that Liverpool fans would love a Bundesliga raid, especially Dortmund.

Reus? Hummels? Gundogan? can Klopp persuade them? let us know in the comments section below.
