Great post MangoSoup. Hertha does defy all logic. No one including the Hertha fans and boss actually know how in the hell they got to 1st place in the league. It's like a very bad dream turn real. It will likely be Bayern, Hamburg and Wolfsburg that complete the final three but don't dare ask me to pick who will be the champions at the end of the season. That's God's turf

It's tough to say who is going to be in the top 3 for the CL spots next season. Obviously, I want to see Bayern and for the other 2 I hope it is 2 teams that can represent Germany and do well in the competition. To me that makes Hamburg a clear choice. I agree with you Yomi. Hamburg will be 1st or 2nd at the end of this season. For the 3rd spot...well I think the Hoffenheim ship has sailed. It was a great story and a nice run while it lasted though. Hertha defies all logic. I still don't understand why that team is performing so well. I think I would give the nod to them.

for 5 mil Euros a season, he better be able to cope with pressure. I reckon Bayern will think twice before splashing out on a manager next time.

He's under an awful lot of pressure and understandably so I suppose.

Although it's not all Klinsmann's fault and credit has to go to the likes of Hoffenheim, Hamburg and Hertha Berlin for their terrific assault on the title.

haha good one Leetguy 101!

I reckon everyone realizes a "goaltender" is a " goalkeeper" - and yes i know this is football and not hockey - but of course your fickle brain isn't up to par and thus you crack the same lame jokes hoping someone just might laugh, much to no avail.

Spot on MangoSoup.

I'm not that perplexed by Ribery's actions as he continues to link himself to every other club. He probably doesn't fancy Klinsmann or the Bayern set-up although he's best mates with Luca Toni. It's anyone's guess whether Bayern will sell him but if he goes, it would be great if Bayern snatched up Gourcuff if Bordeaux can't fork out 15 mil euros for his signature.

Despite their recent woes, Hamburg still look the most complete team but they need to stop the rot. Bayern will be up there at the end along with Wolfsburg. Hoffenheim and Hertha Berlin need massive slices of luck if they wish to keep pace.

Nice article. We should have Olic coming as 3rd striker in the summer, Tymoschuck to replace the woeful Van Bommel (it's great that our captain's only trademark is picking up stupid yellow and red cards for horrible, pointless challenges), and hopefully at least 1 new defensive signing. Lucio has his strengths and is our best central defender, yet he is good for minimum 1 bone headed play every single game. Demichelis is slow and can't pass. Van Buyten is slow and can't pass. Both are good in the air. Would like to see one of them replaced for next season. Lahm and Oddo I like, though it is hard having both pushing up so much.

The Ribery desire to leave surprises me. He's always said he was happy at Bayern. He is great friends with Luca Toni and many of the other players. Could he be making more money and be at a bigger club? Of course, and I never expected him to stay forever. We'll see if we can hang onto him. He's half them team by himself.

Here's to hoping for a favorable CL draw in the coming week. We have a nice stretch of easy games in the league and we should be picking up maximum points. The Bundesliga finish should be very exciting. 4 teams tied for 2nd place, Hertha 4 points in front and a hot Schalke team trying to catch the pack.

In my opinion, Toni and Klose would both fail to shine if not for Bayern's attacking midfield.
