I’m not that perplexed by Ribery’s actions as he continues to link himself to every other club. He probably doesn’t fancy Klinsmann or the Bayern set-up although he’s best mates with Luca Toni. It’s anyone’s guess whether Bayern will sell him but if he goes, it would be great if Bayern snatched up Gourcuff if Bordeaux can’t fork out 15 mil euros for his signature.

Despite their recent woes, Hamburg still look the most complete team but they need to stop the rot. Bayern will be up there at the end along with Wolfsburg. Hoffenheim and Hertha Berlin need massive slices of luck if they wish to keep pace.

The Ribery desire to leave surprises me. He’s always said he was happy at Bayern. He is great friends with Luca Toni and many of the other players. Could he be making more money and be at a bigger club? Of course, and I never expected him to stay forever. We’ll see if we can hang onto him. He’s half them team by himself.
