Manchester United’s hope of landing Paul Pogba has hit a roadblock after his agent Mino Raiola cancelled his medical.

Juventus star has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, while the Champions League winners Real Madrid are also interested in signing him. However, it is the Premier League giants who are leading the race in landing the midfielder in the summer transfer window.

AS reports Juventus and the Red Devils have agreed a fee, which is believed to be in the region of €120-125 million. However, the two clubs are yet to agree upon who will pay Pogba’s agent fee, which is around €25 million.

This is the reason why the Spanish capital club decided against signing the midfielder. However, Pogba would prefer to play under Zinedine Zidane at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The France international’s United medical was scheduled in Miami’s and was set to have a full check with Italian doctor Italo Linfante of the Miami Cardic and Vascular Institute and consultation at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr Linfante is having a residence in Miami and under United’s recognition, he was given responsibility of conducting the 23-year-old’s medical. He is currently on a holiday in Europe and Raiola has instructed the Italian doctor not to cut short his holiday and return to Miami to take Pogba’s medical.

Raiola’s decision to cancel the medical could be a hindrance for United in order to complete a world-record transfer. Pogba is currently on a holiday and is set to return to Juventus on August 7 to start training with the first team.

However, the former United man has decided to leave in order to improve his wages. He is asking for a net salary of €13 million per year, which would be more than that of Gareth Bale (€11 million).

Real are unwilling to pay Pogba more than what they currently paying the former Tottenham Hotspur star. United, on the other hand are ready to meet his world-record transfer fee, but only Raiola’s fee is something that needs to be sorted to make sure the transfer takes shape.
