Juventus are set to rekindle their interest in Chelsea midfielder Oscar and have sent a club representative to hold talks with the London club.

According to reports from Italy, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is reportedly in London to hold discussions with Chelsea over signing Oscar next summer.

The Serie A champions have reportedly been tracking Oscar for some time now and they believe they’ve a great chance now to prise him away from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have made a disastrous start to the season, with the Blues lying 16th in the league and lost seven of their 12 games already.

Several Chelsea players have under-performed this season, and Oscar is certainly one of them. The Brazilian’s form has dipped considerably, and has made only six appearances for the Blues in the league. He has scored two goals in all competitions for Chelsea, and has failed to register any assist so far.

Due to a considerable drop in form, Oscar’s market value has dropped as well, and Turrosport reckons that the deal could happen for around €30m.

Chelsea will also hold talks with Juventus officials to discuss the future of on-loan winger Juan Cuadrado, who wishes to continue his career in Turin permanently.

Although Oscar remains a top quality attacking midfielder, Jose Mourinho could be looking to cash in on him, as the Portuguese plans a massive squad overhaul next summer.
