Juan Cuadrado returning to Chelsea this summer

Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado has been linked with a permanent move to Juventus over the last few months.

The Colombian joined the Italian champions on loan and the Italians are willing to make the deal permanent for a reasonable price.

However, it seems that Antonio Conte is keen to work with the player at Chelsea and therefore a permanent move to Turin might not be possible this summer.

Italian newspaper TuttoMercatoWeb are claiming that they have received confirmation from their sources that Cuadrado will return to Stamford Bridge this summer and work with the new Chelsea manager next season.

TMW are a reputed newspaper in Italy and it is unlikely that they would make something up like this just for the sake of it. Furthermore, there have been no reports of an agreement between Juventus and Chelsea for the player, so it makes sense for him to return anyway.

This could be a golden opportunity for Cuadrado to prove himself in the English Premier League once again. The Colombian failed to make his mark after joining Chelsea in January last season. He was then loaned out at the start of this season.

The former Fiorentina winger has impressed at Juventus and Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has recently stated he wants to keep hold of Cuadrado. However, there was no agreement for the deal to be made permanent at the end of the season and the player will now return to London.
