Defender said goodbye to teammates to seal Chelsea ‘dream switch’ next month

Chelsea are close to completing a deal for Swedish defender Joseph Colley, according to recent reports.

The 16-year-old defender, tall and versatile, is capable of playing at right back, central defence or as central midfielder is set to seal dream switch to Chelsea next month.

The Brommapojkarna youngster will officially join Chelsea when the transfer window opens on 1st July, according to reports from GetWestLondon

Chelsea had been chasing the youngster since December 2013, but the Blues allowed the player to remain in Stockholm to continue his development.

As per the report,  the young defender has bid goodbyes to his BP team mates earlier this week and he is now preparing to begin a new chapter with the Chelsea Academy next month.

The Blues are also looking at the possibility of signing Radamel Falcao as the club’s third choice striker next season as Jose Mourinho wants to add experience to his forward line.

The former United striker is seen as a short term solution capable of adding depth to the already star studded squad.
