Agent to meet Manchester United board to discuss striker’s future

Manchester United, courtesy of their six consecutive victories, have not only consolidated their position for the top four spot, but an outside chance of a potential title challenge are doing the hubbubs.

Plethora of reports from English press, probably leaked by United close sources, suggest that Manchester United will be spending recklessly again next summer, with Louis van Gaal will be given another transfer war-chest to sculpt the squad to his own taste.

Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester United Evening News says United’s “spending spree could continue in the January transfer window” as well, with Van Gaal might be looking to capitalise on their recent impressive run of form.

A lot of their transfers would depend on how United ship out their fringe players from the squad or those that are currently plying trade elsewhere.

Remember Javier Hernandez? Out of sight, out of mind? He was already a lost figure at United for the past few seasons, and continues to sway down the path of oblivion, as he struggles to make strong impression during his loan spell with Real Madrid.

It was always going to be difficult for Chicharito to grab regular places at the Bernabeu, given the avalanche of attacking players Carlo Ancelotti have at disposal.

With every passing day, his chances of playing for Manchester United again is getting slim and it is highly likely his future will continue remain away from Old Trafford, be it in January or next summer.

Eduardo Hernandez, agent of Javier, is aware of this situation, but rules out any January move for his client. After having discussions with Real Madrid officials, he confirmed that Hernandez will stay at Madrid for the rest of the season.

“Yes he is eager to have more minutes, but knows that the work will open the possibility of more participation,” he said as quoted by Spanish newspaper AS

Madrid are also unlikely to sign him up permanently and therefore future of the Mexican future remains hanging in balance until the season ends, when he returns to Manchester United from loan.

“(Madrid) Should not exercise the purchase option . It will not be until the end of the season when we determine what will happen Also, given case, we would have to consult with the board of Manchester United to know what the future holds for Chicharito.”

United might also look at the possibility of signing Radamel Falcao permanently, but it all depends on how well the Colombian utilises his loan period at Old Trafford.
