Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is expected to complete his transfer to Manchester City.

The German midfielder is out injured right now but he has agreed a move to the Premier League and a fee of 21 million pounds has been agreed between the two clubs.

According to latest reports, the player has also agreed a 4 year deal at Etihad and will join the revolution under Pep Guardiola. The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager will take over from Manuel Pellegrini this summer.

Gundogan is all set to miss the start of next season with a dislocated kneecap, but Guardiola decided to sign him anyway. The player is also out of this summer’s Euro 2016 in France.

Gundogan made 25 appearances for Borussia Dortmund last season and his absence cost them dearly in the Europa League quarter finals.

There were rumours of him moving to Manchester United last summer. The German was a key target for manager Louis Van Gaal back then. United were also linked with a move for him earlier in January this year.

With Carrick and Schweinsteiger regressing, Manchester United desperately need a player like Gundogan who can control the tempo of the game and add some much needed agility and energy to the side as well.

Manchester City are expected to officially confirm the signing later today.

City have also been linked with John Stones and Aymeric Laporte from Everton and Athletic Bilbao respectively.
