It's interesting to see how the top 3 sides have all been humbled by their peers this season. It's tempting to suggest that Liverpool don't care about the Champions League as much as the Premier League and Rafa is pragmatic enough to throw one for the other, but at the end of the day, Liverpool need to make money and that means doing as well as possible on both fronts.

Don't see them winning 3-0 or 4-2 at Stamford Bridge. Sure, they did a 4-2 against Arsenal, but that was at Anfield and under dubious circumstances (and with the 4th goal coming at the death).

Gerrard is being rested against Blackburn already, I expect Torres to be rested as well. That should make for interesting viewing, especially with Sam Allardyce coming to Anfield looking to play Samba up front :)
 BTW I love your blog!

Neil you must be gutted!

I honestly couldn't believe how well Chelsea played, I was expecting a Liverpool win without doubt.

Keep an eye out for the Soccerlens Podcast tomorrow everyone, guests Adrian Clarke and Iain Spragg offer their views on all the Champions League matches played this week.

It's well worth a listen, I promise! :)
