Comments on: Help me, I’m a Watford supporter

As an American who lived in England for 6 years as a child, it’s tough for me to get too fired up but I remember going to Vicarage Road games and I still root for Watford. my problem is that I moved back to the States in 1986 so I really want Watford to advance to the EPL so at the very least I can see their games on Fox Soccer Channel. Since 1986 is my latest frame of reference, are John Barnes and Luther Blisset available?

Im a loyal supporter for over 11 years now.If seen highs & lows but thats the football world.Unpredictable.I dont want to call us a ‘transitional’ team.Bright stars have come & gone & im sure they will continue to do so.We started well due to Adam Johnson on loan from middlesborough.Then Kamera named Aidy manager of the month.It a jinx.We didnt win at home for ages and thats where your ‘guaranteed’ 3pts?? Im not a fan of ‘the duke’ either but we need firepower.If we can find the championships Torres please direct him to vicarrige rd could you?

As a loyal Watford fan I have to agree with everything that you have written. It does look as if we will be in the Championship next season and if Aidy continues with these tactics we could be complaining again, but about being at the wrong end of the table

DUDE RELAX MAN. watford arent that bad remember in the EPL they gave quite a number of teams a run for their money and that included Liverpool and united. they lost some games due to some dodgy ref decisions for eg against everton 1st game of the season. now in the championship they wont be 5th if they are that bad. true they got stuffed by barnsley but take a break dude even arsenal got their arses stuffed by middlesborough. though im a liverpool fan watford got me to respect them when they won promotion from div2 right up to the EPL a few seasons ago, they are like the crazy gang of wimbledon. totally unpredictable and capable of causing some major upsets

Excellent article. Some of the signings have been poor, and others haven’t even been given a chance, i.e. Hoskins and Rinaldi. Poom also in a sense, but then Richard Lee has performed well this year.

Next year – I don’t wont to go up, it will be an embaressment because our style didn’t work last year, has scarcely worked this and won’t work next. Style has to come before substance, yet Aidy hasn’t learnt this.

Finally, totally agree about McAnuff, he can go, I’ve been dissapointed that he’s only delivered in fits and starts.
