Heinze ready to leave Manchester United

Gabriel Heinze - Argentina and Manchester United

Football reporting cannot be an emotional affair, lest bias creeps in. I’ve always tried to keep away from the laptop when I’m angry - blogging when you’re too angry or too happy makes you say things you end up regretting later.

With that in mind, I’ll keep this short (there’s a Scarlett Johansson pic at the end as well).

Sky Sports quotes Sir Alex Ferguson as saying that Heinze’s agent has indicated to Manchester United that the Argentine defender wants to leave Manchester United.

Avodiing speculation at this point is hopeless - the major reasons could be the Evra situation, how RVN was kicked out last summer or just a failure from Manchester United’s and Ferguson’s part to guarantee him a starting berth instead of putting him in rotation with Evra.

Heinze hasn’t left yet, and there’s a chance that he might stay (like Flamini is staying at Arsenal), but what we know for sure is that if Ferguson has publicly announced Heinze’s desire to leave Manchester United then it’s up to Heinze to stay - Manchester United won’t force him unless they want to avoid him moving to a direct Premiership rival.

Real Madrid would now look to be favourites for a bid for Heinze.

I can’t even begin to tell you how bad this makes me feel. It’s like someone’s punched me in the gut and it broke something inside. Like I said, he hasn’t left but just hearing the thought that he wants to leave hurts.

Manchester United will survive and be stronger - too bad United and Ferguson did not do enough last season to convince Heinze to stay.

The comments are off for this post - I don’t want to have another Evra v Heinze debate started here, I don’t have the energy for that one.

To make it up to you guys though, here’s Scarlett Johansson wearing a sweater - ummm - yea, click on the thumbnail below and please don’t drool :)

Scarlett Johansson

Mind you, I’ve spent the last 15 minutes looking at SJ, and I feel a bit better already. Maybe you will too?
