Hart could look for another loan move

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini could lose out again on Joe Hart for the season, with the England international considering another loan move if he isn’t placed as the number one goalkeeper at Eastlands for the upcoming season.

Hart, who was included in Fabio Capello’s World Cup squad this year, spent last season at Birmingham City due to the arrival of Shay Given. During his time at St. Andrew’s, he impressed immensely securing a place in the PFA Team of the Year. Now, Hart is looking to head out again if he isn’t in Mancini’s main plans for the season.

Hart said, speaking on Sportsweek:

“(Sitting on the bench) doesn’t interest me. All I want to do is play in the first team. I’ve based my summer around getting in the first team. Shay has recovered from his shoulder injury and we are both fit and raring to go and we both want that place.”

“Whether I am involved with England or not, all I want to do is play. It is so different playing for the reserves. I want to be in the limelight, playing for the first team and at the moment I am working hard to get into Manchester City’s first team.”

He added, speaking to BBC Sport:

“All I want is to play in the Man City first team – but if I wasn’t I’d have to reconsider.”

Manchester City kick their 2010-2011 Premier League campaign, in search of Champions League football of course, against Tottenham Hotspur on August 14. Whether or not Hart will start is yet to be seen, but reports suggest Given is still in pole position for the number one shirt.
