Harry blasts Tanner for poor decisions in Tottenham – West Brom game
The season of good will appears to have come to a premature end for Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp after he vented his feelings – in no uncertain terms – about referee Steve Tanner’s performance in Spurs’ defeat at fellow strugglers West Bromwich Albion.
Not-so ‘appy ‘arry will also being expecting some late Christmas post from the FA Disciplinary Panel after blasting the Sussex whistler: “I never walk in after games and complain about a referee, but this guy is scary!
“When I walked into the referees’ room before the game and saw who was reffing the game, I knew what was coming.
“I’ve had him many times before and I know what he is like. He really isn’t good enough.
“He is just a poor referee, unfortunately, and I’ve seen him make a mess of so many games before.”
After ref Tanner had sent-off Spurs’ defender Beniot Assou-Ekotto in controversial circumstances in the first half, Redknapp saw red after he crucially failed to spot a blatant push on Michael Dawson as Roman Bednar rose to head home West Brom’s late opening goal.
Right Result stats would appear to back-up Harry’s feelings as Steve Tanner is the clear ‘leader’ of the referees’ league table with seven scoreline changing errors from his eight games.
In last years semi final against Portsmouth, I can’t remember Arry having a go at the ref when Baros deliberatly used his hand to score Portsmouths only goal (against the run of play) and get to the FA cup final.

Perhaps a bit of open-minded eading before writing an article might avoid the need to remove foot from mouth. Didn’t the FA say it wasn’t going to take any action yesterday 29th? Lack of research and made our minds up attitude are a bit naive an infantile. It’s not journalism.
