Meaningless game. Utd weren't half as up for it bas SAF implied. Good bit of volleyball by Scholes. No bearing on anything that will happen this season.
Next!

I can't beleive you can dwell on all this so much.

Does losing super cup means we wont be part of club world championship? I seem to read somewhere that the winners of Super cup go for world club championship

I guess the worst thing about it was that Park and Ferdinand were waiting behind him for a free header.

I think the look on Scholes' face says it all. He's extremely disappointed in the team's performance and that he's done something stupid. A model professional in so many other ways though so I'm more than happy to forgive him.

it wos a ridiculous handball 2 be honest, but ye it wos quite funny, especially o'shea's bravado in trying 2 make it seem legit. secondly, i think nani had a poor game, he was too inconsistent, and the first goal would hav been avoided if nev hadnt put it out for a corner

Where to begin about yesterday's match. Yesterday just proved why we need an out and out striker. I'm not really one for going on about us needing a good box striker but yesterday Rooney and Tevez just proved that we do. Although I must say Tevez was awesome yesterday. Defensively, we looked shaky. Only Vida really looked solid but even he messed up with the danny goal. It was a great goal but we had 4 defenders who decided to let the player run into the box and shoot. Our midfield didn't perform brilliantly either. I expected Anderson to boss that midfield but he was playing too far into our own half. Scholes was solid as usual but with Scholes naturally playing just in front of defense and Anderson also playing that far back, we lacked muscle right in the middle of the park with Tevez trying to fill that spot by himself. Rooney is NOT a center forward. We had 2 brilliant link-up strikers with no center striker to feed to or to create more space for the link-up men. Nani and evra just seemed to get into each other's way though I think Nani's ball retention abilities are improving although his crossing and corners still leave a lot to be desired. Neville was trying and you can't fault him for that. He hasn't played a lot of football and it will take him time to get back to normal. All in all, it's not the end of our season and we seem to struggle at the beginning of the season recently but if last season is anything to go by we should pick up eventually.

mate the best managers in english football history are
bob paisley and bill shankly
fergie no doubt did a good job at aberdeen and his man managment skills are better than any manager in world football and i do like his attacking mentallity(which along with man management is a reason for his success at united)

but mate if most other managers had a little bit of sense and mas much money has fergie has had over the years...success wont be hard to come...so sayin he is the best british manager ever is an overstatement...considering the fact that he he is manipulative,a cheater, sore loser...hed be better suited to be in politics i think...though if he retains the european cup ...i may change my mind
the article was well crap????dont see any point in writing these pro manu articles..as a regular visiter to this site i expect better intelligent articles on interesting footballing matters rather than those highliting john o'shea's obvious lack of brains........remember mate this site is not flocked by manu supporters only

Anderson has to work twice as hard to defend as well as midfield simply because the old players Gary and Scholes dont have the pace to defend and attack against younger opponents. Here again why allow John Oshea to come in to replace Anderson.Sir Alex must get rid of JohnOshea asap simply because he is the worst player in MU and has shown No improvement at all.Selling off Eagles and Pique was a great mistake and Sir Alex will regret it. Brown, Posebon and Silva were available and why were they noy in the starting lineup.

Unfortunately I didnt see it live as I play football on Friday nights but watching the replays on sky i couldnt help but burst into tears laughing.

Scholes is a top proffesional but i dont have any respect for him, Keane and Giggs are just about the two United players i will ever have respect for.

I laughed when Scholes spiked the ball into the goal. I also meant to write something about how O'Shea started to celebrate. Who knows? If Scholes were a little taller, and if he had hid his hand a little better, then maybe he would have pulled off a Hand of God II.

I thought Neville really struggled yesterday. I want to see him play as much as anyone, but he was at fault for Danny's goal (which I also watched over and over, even as a United fan, I could appreciate that goal), and he needlessly conceded the corner that led to the first goal. Brown should start from here on out.

It was an off-day all around. Van der Sar made some errors. Nani and Evra looked like they had never played together before. Hopefully, we can chalk it up to that.
