The clubs might not sign an openly gay player, but there are clearly gay players in closet who don't have the balls to come out. It's understandable, they'd get a lot of stick and it might hurt their careers. But if you want this issue to be confronted, you have to get it out there. I can see the manager getting rid of him for this, he's known as a hardarse on players clubbing, ect. The stats are there, there has to be several gay footballers in the premiership.
