Gattuso and Pirlo coming to Manchester United to play in Europe XI

Written by Ahmed Bilal. Tagged: Manchester United

Gennaro Gattuso and Andrea Pirlo - both players who have been repeatedly linked with Manchester United - will be strutting their stuff on the Old Trafford pitch on Tuesday night as part of the Europe XI squad taking on Manchester United’s finest players left standing.

Also joining the Milan duo are Maldini and Ronaldo (one of the rare opposition players to receive a standing ovation by the Old Trafford faithful), Real Madrid’s Casillas, Roma’s Mancini (a chance for Ferguson and United to scout their Champions League opponent’s talented winger) and Valencia’s Miguel.

  1. Ahmed - assuming Owen Hargreaves will be joining in the summer I wouldn’t think ManU will sign Gattuso - though he’s a strong take no prisoners type of player.

  2. Ed - I’d agree. Plus, Gattuso’s getting on his years, isn’t he?

    I wouldn’t take Pirlo either.
