Heinze loses bid to move to Liverpool; Gabby please stay with Manchester United now

Manchester United’s Gabriel Heinze has lost his attempt to force Manchester United to allow him to move to Liverpool.
The hearing concluded that the written letter Heinze possessed (and what his agents claimed was his ‘ticket’ out of Manchester United’) “was unambiguous in that it envisages only an international transfer”.
No ifs or buts, just a firm ruling that throws out Heinze’s claims of being ‘owed’ a move to Liverpool.
Needless to say, I am VERY relieved at this outcome - it’s the first good news Manchester United have had since the bloody season started. It also raises the all important question - if Heinze cannot go to Liverpool, will he stay at Manchester United or will he leave for a club outside the Premiership?
Currently Lyon seem to be the ones in the forefront, but I doubt that Heinze would wish to return to France. He could be tempted by the glamour of La Liga or the charm of Serie A, but surely he won’t leave Manchester United to go to Lyon to temporarily replace their injured captain?
A more likely possibility is that Heinze now stays at Manchester United, forgets about Liverpool and plays for us this season. Next season, we’ll see where things stand (or even in January - but it’s for certain that he’s not going anywhere in the Premiership).
Another chance is that Heinze now tries to buy out his contract (2 years left), which is certainly possible and if it happens then Liverpool and Heinze will have to move fast as there are only 10 days left.
Heinze has the right to appeal against the decision but I doubt it will be successful, if he bothers to make one.
The next 24 hours will allow all parties (Manchester United, Heinze, Liverpool, other interested clubs) to be hounded and quizzed by the press and by tomorrow morning we should have a clearer picture of what the future holds for Gabriel Heinze.
Please stay with us Gabby. As long as you are here, you are forgiven.
Can we get some United fans to put up a ’stay with us, we love you Gabby’ banner to show at Old Trafford at the weekend? Or is that asking for too much?

No matter what happens he is still to United what Judas was to Jesus Christ.
I will say it again…
Fuck Heinze!!!
that banner isnt just asking too much there is more chance of 1 telling him 2 f*** off back to france, i am honestly shocked that u still like heinze let alone believe he will ever play football for our club ever again. Gabriel Heinze will never kick a ball in a united shirt ever again, he will be demoted to the reserves! He doesnt deserve to ever wear the red shirt ever again, we are going to sell him!
liam speaks the truth, fuck you ahmed, if heinze dosent deserve forgivness, how dare the crap mutha fucka demand first-team football then want to go to our second biggest rivals, if he stays, he best stay in the reserves.
[…] Heinze loses case to move to Liverpool, will he stay at Manchester United? […]
[…] As you must know by now, Gabriel Heinze has lost his bid to join Liverpool (more over at Soccerlens). […]
what a lot of crap Heinze will never be forgiven and I don’t know why you are crawling up his ass. I was having my doubts about him last season but defended him given his passion to fight for our club. He’s turned out to be a complete cnut and as far as i’m concerned can rot in the reserves never deserves to pull on our shirt again.
…to the reserves with him !!!
Gabby no longer deserves his chance to wear the shirt. The ‘Liverpool situation’ is bad enough, but ultimately it’s his lack of desire to fight for his place that means he should be sold or forced into the reserves. I hope he never plays for the first team again. I’d rather have Silvestre the liability then that scoundrel (I don’t use that term lightly!!).
Whatever. People are not thinking properly if they wanna get rid of Heinze. He is a BETTER defender than Evra. No two ways about it. Evra is good going forward but he has inherited the same mistake gene that Silvestre has - must be a French thing. If Utd cannot find a club for Heinze then keep him. He is good. Fans forget. Blah blah blah
asking for too much bro absolutely too much and after seing evra lately too much even i had my change of mind
defence wise heinze>evra overall for the team Evra >>>> Heinze
And yes Remember paul ince
Well he sure is going to get some treatment in UTD. Heinze has lost his pace after the injury and his past his prime. Evra from now on can only progress and in the past 2 matches he seemed rock solid . I think he will be sold off to some club and money will be used for a striker and another LB probably.
Forget who is better and how they are better- Evra WANTS to play for United, is a lot lot younger and can only get better. Heinze won’t get any better and Nick, post number 10 gets it spot on about fighting for his place. Don’t need time wasting two faced has beens in the team, Heinze staying/leaving won’t make or break United so good riddance. Liverpool are in a win win position here because they’ve whipped up a frenzy and distraction to United’s cause over a player they’ll only end up rotating, just another face in the murky depths of the ‘pool..
Oh and Ahmed, wtf is up bro?? You were seriously considering the United faithful drawing up a banner??? Brown-nosing, cos that’s what you’re asking of the fans, should be coming from his end, not from United or the fans???!! Right at the beginning his silence was infuriating and disrespectful to both the clubs and the fans- the best thing he could do now is get on with his career (he’s entitled to one just like any other player) and do it sensibly. If that’s to be at United, hell go ahead and buy out the contract, go on gardening leave, do a Steed Malbranque and play blinding stuff for the reserves and f*ck off out of United when the time’s up or when a Serie A/La Liga stumps up the cash.
fuck off now heinz..fergie must put staple on a chair and no play for united or else he will transfer him with the worst team in the world
transfer to a sunday league team would be excellent.
As far as I know, Heinze cannot buy his way out of his contract, since he didn’t announce it within the first 2 weeks of the transfer window. Next chance for that is next summer.
I think the best would be to offload him to some club abroad, so he doesn’t sign with Liverpool for £ 3 mil next summer.
Tomas, can he not do it in the Jan transfer window?
Tomas, scratch that, I seem to remember reading that a player can not buy out his contract and move to a team in the same league.
Don’t understsand why players make life hard for themselves when they are earning £xxooo a week. Come on why does he want to join liverpool they already have 2 good left backs. Now it will be impossible to stay at United. So he could have just gone and ruined his career at the top level. He’l probably end up at Lyon now after all this! Where they win the league every year cos they are the only team that are any good.
I wonder what keano would have to say about such bullshit!!!
i think..we should just act selfish…and keep heinze….for his defensive skills..screw the intent….and emotions…he ll be back to impressing the crowds and playing good football
well rancho if he’ll be back and even if he starts playing good ( idoubt he’ll get enough chances) then also fans will give him some stick for sure nad by the time he earns respect he’ll be too old to carry on so its better he moves out for himself as for the club i’ll be happy to have a top flight cover anyday fuck the fans
I wont miss the 06/07 Heinze, the one that lost out to carvalho for the chelsea goal @ old trafford (he was picked specifically of this), or the one who gave Vida a shit backpass in the CL Semi 2nd leg, or the Heinze who got skinned time & again in the Copa. Sell him aboard and use the money for a replacement LB or striker. He hadnt the guts to fight for his place with evra and thats the bottom line!!!!
its pointless to keep someone who wanna leave.
Lets say: Liverpool vs Man Utd . final minute. score 0-0. up pops Heinze to score the winner. And no smart asses - not a own goal. The FICKLE FANS will love him again. The trouble is we live in the tabloid age where sportsman/woman are put on pedastles and we love to knock them. Really pisses me off big time. Heinze is good. The team matters. Is the team better overall with or without him? Answer that question yourselves…
He’s made it pretty clear he doesn’t want to be with us(ROFL it sounds more like an intimate relationship than a business contract but w/e)so i’m not begging him to stay. After Fergie’s infamous dealings with players in the past who he didn’t think were helping the team i can’t see him treating Gabby like a returning lost son. He’s got to be more miffed than he’s showing….how could he not be?Heinze can’t realistically stay now after all the fuss, the fans won’t forgive him and what about in the dressing room? Can you see our captain being really chuffed about that-remember when he wouldn’t shake Schmikes’ hand in the tunnel before the city game? The most important thing has to be the team spirit and that involves loyalty. It translates onto the pitch. I think Evra will really step it up this season, would have been handy to have Gabby around as back up but he didn’t want to fight for his place. Simple as. He showed complete disregard for anyone but himself, he doesn’t care about United. Lets make some money off him and give players who are proud to wear the shirt a chance.
I’m with Ahmed on this one. If Heinze starts playing great footie again, everyone will forgive and forget. God knows with Giggs’ hamstrings and age, we’ll need the help of Evra in the midfield and nobody wants to lumbering Silvestre guarding the back line.
Don’t forget that Denis Law (one of the greatest United players of all time) scored to relegate United to the second division. Nobody hates him. Or hates Schmeichel cause he went to play for City. (Ok, we all hate Ince but that’s cause he was an idiot.) Point is, he’s not passed the point of no return. Team before player as Just1n said.
Come on back Gabby!
Please stay? Are you KIDDING? I can’t get him out of Old Trafford soon enough.
I hope Heinze is on the bench this Sunday, just so he can hear how much we all hate him now. Ferguson got rid of Richardson because of the way the fans treated him…and that was NOTHING compared to what Heinze would get.
Dissapointment
i wonder what defender Benitez will go after now i strongly recomend he gives up on Heinze so hopfully Richards but i doubt it
I agree with Alex he cant realisticly have a future at Man U now think about it?
No offence but that article is a joke.
Heinze has said he doesn’t want to stay. He has actually said that he wanted to go to Liverpool… and you are begging him to stay? No United fan in their right mind with actuall passion for the club would beg him to stay, no more so than Heinze would ask us for forgiveness. And It would be a question of him actually getting on his knees on the pitch before the match and begging Old Trafford to forgive them.
And quite frankly. Even then, I hope we’d boo him out of the stadium.
He doesn’t deserve to wear our shirt. He’s a disgrace to our colours. If you love United, there is no way you could forgive what he’s said and done.
HOW THE FUKK CAN ANYONE WANT HEINZE TO STAY.
HOW THE FUKKING FUK IS THAT POSSIBLE?
After all he’s done - openly declared he’d want to play for ‘pool and if that wasnt enough - gone to court?
WTF??!!
get rid of Henize, Swap deal for Giorgio Chiellini
I’d rather keep Chiellini, if Ranieri sells I will be PISSED. Whattabout Grosso, Lyon want Heinze, send him for an exchange deal for Grosso. Sure he’s old, but dammit, I’ll bet he’s better than Silvestre. Speaking of which, isn’t it about time to get rid of him too?
I love the guy and think he displayed the United spirit every time he wore the shirt. However him going to Liverpool makes no sense, which means him leaving is for other than footballing reasons and i dont want a player like that in my team. He wants regular football .. ok but:
1) rafa’s infamous rotation policy all but ensures he isnt going to play every game.
2) with aurelio and riise, there is no way he is a certainty to start. Plus riise is as good if not better and he fits in their system, so once again should start over gabby.
3) the only reason evra was preferred last season was to give more attacking options once giggs was tired. But with nani coming in, there was no need for that so he should have started over evra anyway.
Add to this the fact that United have finished higher than Liverpool every season since Gabby has been there and that United are in all competitions that Liverpool are, it all but proves that his reasons for wanting to move are non football related. It isnt the weather, or the lack of support, or being played out of position. For me all that leaves is money and i dont want a player like that in my team. He should raise about 7 million in sales, add another few million here and there, we have enough to buy a quality finisher. So lets cut our loses, fuck Heinze and invest in someone who we need, and someone who wants to play for us. You might critsize my assumptions but they are based on logical thinking and fact and as much as i loved him as a player, fuck him.
He’s done and dusted at united for sure
sell heinze and get the funds for a striker.we don’t want a player who doesn’t want to play for united. Moreover he’ll spoil the dressing room enviornment.only 10 days are left in the transfer window and we should cash in on him.sell him to lyon or juve and buy anelka or martins with the funds we get from his sale.
Is it just me who thinks Liverpool FC should be brought to book on this? Surely this is the most blatant case of a tapping up ever. I’m not completely certain but I heard Liverpools chosen law firm where acting on Judas’s behalf! If this is true its a fine way to repay United for allowing our Maurice Watkins to help them get through the Mascherano red tape back in January!
I think some of us are just too emotional about this Heinze issue and are missing the point. Consider the following:
1. Fergie is not holding on to Heinze he just does not want to sell him to a rival club.
2. The fact that Fergie does not want Heinze to go to Liverpool and at the same time Benitez wants him, should tell us something about his abilities as a leftback.
3. Heinze is just doing what every other player would do if he loses his first team spot. If he decides to leave he most certainly would prefer to go to a club with the same level of prestige. It just so happens that another top premiership club is interested in his services. And in reality clubs with the same level of prestige are always RIVALS.
4. Had it been a club from another league i’m sure Fergie would not think twice of selling him. Remember Beckham and Van Nistelrooy?
5. If it was a smaller club interested in his services, I’m sure Heinze would reject the offer outright.
I believe this is not about HEINZE WANTING TO LEAVE UNITED FOR LIVERPOOL, this is about a player’s desire to play first team football for a top premiership club. He’s not getting it from United so he’s looking for it somewhere else. It just so happens that Liverpool is knocking on Heinze’s door and United is showing no interest.
This disgusting saga could soon be over, it seems, and good riddance… for all the emotions it creates, I’ve never really suspected L’pool for wanting him (or at least not believing they could get him), but trying to unsettle us at the start of the season… nice touch bringing in your own lawyers to assist the poor millionaire trying to get out of his contract.
Well done, Gabby, you played right into their hands… you’re not exactly Mensa material for thinking we would sell you to L’pool!!!
Off to the continent with ya!
Time for Curbs to put a bid in for him, and get him to West Ham. We’re a better team then Manure anyway, just look at the table.
Just sell him to us, I know both clubs are rivals and I remember Fungusface stating before the season kicked off that the quality of players introduced by other clubs would make the P/L more healthy and more competitive, which he said is more exciting for united defending there tital. so if he likes excitement and wants healthier competition why not sell him, the way it will go is as follows, Heinze rejects all moves to anyone, he plays in reserves for united, you pay his hefty wage and we get him when he buys out his contract for half of what we will give you now, you lose we win eventually, he is a lost cause at utd now and we sit back and smile at your backward morals, if perhaps it was ronaldo or gerrard looking for this move I could justify the uproar, but he’s late 20’s and not exactly the best in the world in his position. the mould will be broken one day and I think the sooner the better….. we have ruffled your feathers and even more so now he has appealed this decision, he is an outcast at utd so sell him to us where at least you can vent your anger when we beat you this season…. snigger snigger
YNWA
In Rafa We Trust
ahmed, stop putting up these stupid subjects man, you obviously have no idea what youre talking about. do something more productive with your time man, like learn something about football, get laid, anything… just stop bothering us real fans with your crap PLEASE
sell him to juventus, or lyon, get some cash, and lets buy obafemi martins before the 31st, and martins signs a new contract removing the 13m release clause… silvestre can do a bit part job, o’shea can even play back there. Evra is obviously first choice, and he is resilient. But at least we have some cover when we get rid of gaby the scouse traitor
Can’t say I agree with welcoming him back with open arms. I can’t say I agree that he should stay “for the team” or however some guy put it. It’s the principle. He was a fan favourite for how long? How long did we support him and sing his praises through injury and sub-standard performances? It’s about loyalty to the club that’s been loyal to you. If he had said, “I want to go to Villa”. Or Benfica. Or Villareal… we would have been sad to see him go. But LIVERPOOL? The dirtiest rivals we have? The same scouse scum that sing about Munich and cheer injured players? Heinze’s been at United long enough to know certain things. He knows what kind of rivalry we foster. It was a slap in the face not only to us, as fans, but to the entire club, his teammates, his manager.
I agree with those who want him out. He is not surely committed to United judging by his idiotic acts and fans will never forgive him going against his ow club to go to fuc…ing Liverpool, unbelievable and shame full act.
@Meaghan [45]- I think you go it spot on.
@gerry [42] - I don’t mind you buying - for £3m - a 30year old player, who hasn’t played competitively for a year, could not get first team opportunity before that, and brag about it.
@Justin [26] - “Lets say: Liverpool vs Man Utd . final minute. score 0-0…”, up pops Gerrard to score the winner which got deflected off Heinze. What then???
My personal take on this - If SAF decides to keep him, I can respect that, but will still be pissed off with him. Hope he can take the stick that fans give him. If SAF decide to sell him, I will acept that too. Where in the past I would have been sad, now I wouldn’t really care.
people who think that united fans will forget if he starts playing good football are kidding theirselves. There’s one person we all know will no forget about all this and thats precisely why he won’t play again for united, and thats Mr Ferguson. There are players that have done less at united and been sent on their bikes! e.g Van Nistelrooy, Stam.
if he had his heart set on Liverpool he should be allowed to go to Liverpool we need a left back who can defend badly
Maybe he wants to go out and sample “you’ll never walk alone” on a european night. Alot of players who pick us over UNITED and CHELSEA do it for atmosphere and beeing a main contender to get a european medal (Thats why Torres choose us
)
Uh-huh Scouser..torres moved to liverpool cause he aint good enough for united..or that united werent willing to pay so much for mr good looks anyhow. And Torres moved to liverpool cause of e spaniard connection..so puleeeeez. No one would snub chelsea for liverpoo not to mention the mighty devils.
Oh..and fuck heinze. He aint gonna set foot in Old trafford again. The day united announce he is sold, someone pls break his foot in training!
Maybe SAF should make Heinze be the tour Guide for the stadium. He is qualified, he speaks 2 languages(he must have picked up English by now) he knows where everything is and best of all the average Joe could slag him on a daily basis
Reports saying he´s signed for Real Madrid for 12m euros.
Kai its hard to believe he rejected both Chelsea and Man United aint it
but thats the facts. if you paid 17million for Nani why not 20million for Torres maybe he just did’nt want you!!!
It’s sad to see all these liverfools think that we are at least bit concerned about losing torres.as good a player as he is it is not the end of the world.we lost shearer and got contona we lost ronaldinho and got cristiano now we’ve lost Torres but got Tevez.Let us wait and see how many titles he gets us cause all of the above have gotten us at least one title each!!!!!!!!!
so now you think that your Title hopes rest on Tevez?
So reports say that Heinze is going to Real. Cheers Gaby. Hope it works out for you. Now lets get rid of Silvestre to Lyon. That would be the best for me. We can use Pique and Oshea if Evra gets injured and can always sign back up in January.
Like I’ve said this issue is not about Heinze wanting to leave United for Liverpool this is about him losing his first-team spot at United.
Fergie wasn’t holding on to Heinze, he just didn’t want to sell him to bitter rivals Liverpool. End of story
NO OUR TITLE HOPES DONT REST ON TEVEZ, IT RESTS ON OUR WHOLE TEAM, WHICH IS 10 TIMES BETTER THAN UR MEDIOCRE LIVERPOOL TEAM. JUST WAIT AND SEE HOW THE SEASON PANS OUT. UNITED!
and maybe we didnt want torres!! idiot.
Heinze has joined Real Madrid for approx. £7.5 million.
Thought you all might like to know.
To say that Ince was an Idiot is not fair. This bloody Argentine is even a bigger idiot. He knows Evra is too good for him to replace, that is why he wants to go to Liverpool. What on earth is he thinking because Riise is just as good as Evra if not better (lets be honest), and not to mentioned faster, stronger and younger than Heinze.
Remember he reported late for his first season with united, because Argentina’s Olympic gold is far more important than United. Sneak Peak of the guy’s “loyalty”.
That doggedness I still like, but his footballing skill is actualy quite average.
Maybe your not brave enough to admit you wanted Torres i’ll admit when the Tevez joining back up with mascherano rumors started up i got excited!!
But when Torres came i wanted to see wingers. When they came in i wanted to see a LB witch we r still looking for
