Manchester United’s Gabriel Heinze has lost his attempt to force Manchester United to allow him to move to Liverpool.
The hearing concluded that the written letter Heinze possessed (and what his agents claimed was his ‘ticket’ out of Manchester United’) “was unambiguous in that it envisages only an international transfer”.
No ifs or buts, just a firm ruling that throws out Heinze’s claims of being ‘owed’ a move to Liverpool.
Needless to say, I am VERY relieved at this outcome – it’s the first good news Manchester United have had since the bloody season started. It also raises the all important question – if Heinze cannot go to Liverpool, will he stay at Manchester United or will he leave for a club outside the Premiership?
Currently Lyon seem to be the ones in the forefront, but I doubt that Heinze would wish to return to France. He could be tempted by the glamour of La Liga or the charm of Serie A, but surely he won’t leave Manchester United to go to Lyon to temporarily replace their injured captain?
A more likely possibility is that Heinze now stays at Manchester United, forgets about Liverpool and plays for us this season. Next season, we’ll see where things stand (or even in January – but it’s for certain that he’s not going anywhere in the Premiership).
Another chance is that Heinze now tries to buy out his contract (2 years left), which is certainly possible and if it happens then Liverpool and Heinze will have to move fast as there are only 10 days left.
Heinze has the right to appeal against the decision but I doubt it will be successful, if he bothers to make one.
The next 24 hours will allow all parties (Manchester United, Heinze, Liverpool, other interested clubs) to be hounded and quizzed by the press and by tomorrow morning we should have a clearer picture of what the future holds for Gabriel Heinze.
Please stay with us Gabby. As long as you are here, you are forgiven.
Can we get some United fans to put up a ’stay with us, we love you Gabby’ banner to show at Old Trafford at the weekend? Or is that asking for too much?

Reports saying he´s signed for Real Madrid for 12m euros.
Kai its hard to believe he rejected both Chelsea and Man United aint it
but thats the facts. if you paid 17million for Nani why not 20million for Torres maybe he just did’nt want you!!!
It’s sad to see all these liverfools think that we are at least bit concerned about losing torres.as good a player as he is it is not the end of the world.we lost shearer and got contona we lost ronaldinho and got cristiano now we’ve lost Torres but got Tevez.Let us wait and see how many titles he gets us cause all of the above have gotten us at least one title each!!!!!!!!!
so now you think that your Title hopes rest on Tevez?
So reports say that Heinze is going to Real. Cheers Gaby. Hope it works out for you. Now lets get rid of Silvestre to Lyon. That would be the best for me. We can use Pique and Oshea if Evra gets injured and can always sign back up in January.
Like I’ve said this issue is not about Heinze wanting to leave United for Liverpool this is about him losing his first-team spot at United.
Fergie wasn’t holding on to Heinze, he just didn’t want to sell him to bitter rivals Liverpool. End of story
NO OUR TITLE HOPES DONT REST ON TEVEZ, IT RESTS ON OUR WHOLE TEAM, WHICH IS 10 TIMES BETTER THAN UR MEDIOCRE LIVERPOOL TEAM. JUST WAIT AND SEE HOW THE SEASON PANS OUT. UNITED!
and maybe we didnt want torres!! idiot.
Heinze has joined Real Madrid for approx. £7.5 million.
Thought you all might like to know.
To say that Ince was an Idiot is not fair. This bloody Argentine is even a bigger idiot. He knows Evra is too good for him to replace, that is why he wants to go to Liverpool. What on earth is he thinking because Riise is just as good as Evra if not better (lets be honest), and not to mentioned faster, stronger and younger than Heinze.
Remember he reported late for his first season with united, because Argentina’s Olympic gold is far more important than United. Sneak Peak of the guy’s “loyalty”.
That doggedness I still like, but his footballing skill is actualy quite average.
Maybe your not brave enough to admit you wanted Torres i’ll admit when the Tevez joining back up with mascherano rumors started up i got excited!!
But when Torres came i wanted to see wingers. When they came in i wanted to see a LB witch we r still looking for
