That's an...interesting choice Ajace.

If England do qualify for the 2010 World Cup I doubt we'll see a team much different from the status quo.

I don't rate Carson. Mancirnne is a center back, if I remember rightly. Can't see Onuoha or Davies displacing Rio Ferdinand or John Terry in the next couple of years. Richards, is the one realistic choice in my opinion...not at left back though!

Downing is underrated but I wouldn't have him starting. Reo-Coker is very overated in my opinion. Carrick is a choice I really like though. Sort of player England could really do with. Smart defensivley, good at retaining possesion & an excellent passer of the ball.

Three similar players up top really. Don't rate Lennon. Agbonlahor & Walcott should be in the squad though, I'd agree with that.

SWP is looking good now he's back at City. Bentley & Young are promising. Not a fan of Lita, Taylor or Green though.

If we qualify for 2010 I reckon it'll look something like...

James

Richards Terry(C) Rio A Cole

Walcott Gerrard Lampard J Cole

Rooney
       Ashton

Hart, G Neville, Woodgate, Bridge, Barry, Hargreaves, Crouch

Foster, Lescott, Carrick, Agbonlahor

Not what I'd want but what I think it'd be...

As for 2018, if we qualify, I reckon...

Hart

Richards Spence(C) Pearce Mattock

Rodwell Frimpong
Bostock

Wiltshire

Walcott Moses

Foderingham, Marsh-Brown, Bertrand, Oshodi, Tunnicliffe, McEchran, Baxter.

Rudd, Bartley, Parrett, Ismail,

Course this isn't seriously saying you can predict 2018, just a bit of fun.

Look out for

Afobe, Shelvey, Delfouneso & Wellbeck as well...

:) I think it's already established that the author missed out on a host of young players from United, Arsenal and Liverpool.
