vidal2 Manchester Uniteds €60m target will certainly leave, claims agentManchester United have been given a lifeline in signing Arturo Vidal after Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco’s agent admitted the star midfielder could leave the Turin club.

Giovinco’s contract with the Old Lady runs down in 2015 and while addressing rumours linking the Italian forward with the move away from Juventrus, agent Andrea D’Amico said that Vidal will leave the Serie A champions in the summer transfer window.

“In the end I think he’ll stay and his contract expires in 2015, Giovinco is a great player, but we have yet to meet with Juve to discuss his current situation.” D’Amico said as quoted in gianlucadimarzio.com.

“Vidal and Pogba? One of the two will leave. I’ll go a step further I’m convinced Vidal will certainly leave,” Giovinco’s agent said.

United have been struggling the central midfield position in the past few years. With Paul Scholes retiring from football for the second time after the end of the 2012-13 title winning campaign, the Old Trafford club struggle last season.

This summer, the Premier League giants already signed Ander Herrera from Athletic Bilbao. However, the Spaniard alone cannot solve United’s midfield crisis. Earlier we reported that Vidal has verbally agreed a deal to join the Red Devils for a fee believed to be around €60m.

The Chilean international will be a great addition to United’s squad, especially in the absence of Michael Carrick, who will be out till September. The England international picked up an ankle injury in the training and went under the knife, which will see him miss the start of the 2014-15 season.

New manager Louis van Gaal needs to prioritise signing midfielder and a central defender in this summer transfer window.
