tonight, Fenerbahce announced the signing of former Corinthians midfielders Cristian Oliveira Baroni and Andre Clarindo Dos Santos.
The news of the players signing with the Turkish giants will come as a shock to some, as recent rumours had strongly linked Santos with a move to Serie A - the player's agent supposedly having flown to Milan in order tout his client.
The 26-year-old had been linked with Milan themselves, as well as fellow Italian superpower Juventus. Oliviera, meanwhile, had been heavily tipped to be finalising a deal with Abu Dhabi-based club Al-Jazera Club.
It is said that the players will arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday to complete negotiations before being officially unveiled a day later. Until now, no fee has been announced for the players.
The duo will meet up with several fellow countrymen at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium including one of Brazil's most famous left-backs, Roberto Carlos.
