Its looking inevitable that Cesc Fabregras is off to Barcelona, but. Where would he realistically fit in? there's no way the Iniesta and Xavi are going to have their partnership broken up, that only really leaves the holding midfield role free, and Flabbygrass aint no holding mid. So he would probably end up rotting on the bench, what a waste of talent.

a little change could me made to fit him in,henry dropped to the bench, which isnt too hard to imagine with his injury problems, and iniesta is played as the left forward,a role he has played many times.then fabby has a place, and the midfield is significantly weakened as a result

I think we should leave "lifestyle choices" out of this

Duffman is right Iniesta could switch to left mid or they could use Fabregas as he used for Spain in a right wing role or left wing tucked inside. Beside's its about squads these days so the three could easily rotate.

wow, seriously, you guys are always teamed up against me

and would Fabregras be a good player at Barcelona, if Barcelona change their tactics and formation which is more suitable for cesc then yes but that look unlikely since Barcelona is playing with their midfield maestros and formations with xavi, yaya, iniesta and henry

    don't take it personally man-utd_fan :)

Don't think they could really play all three in midfield, it really would be too similar. They need the grit of Toure.

of course, yaya is a specialized Dm that why this allows iniesta and Xavi to play freely

he could fit in, of course. A player of his calibre would fit in anywhere. As for Helb, I never rated him. And Henry, the Maestro has peaked already. Fab aint going nowherE!!

He will eventually end up in Barca.... Would definitely fit in after he settles into the pace of the league.

I agree, he will eventually end up at Barcelona but I see him as someone who will eventually take over from Xavi as the midfield playmaker. However, as they proved recently for Spain and at the Euro 2008 final they featured in the same team and it worked. I'd be suprised if he left in the summer but If Arsenal have another trophyless season then he may re consider.

Considering Iniesta always seems to be injured i really think he would fit in at Barca, Messi gets injured alot aswell so maybe iniesta could play on the right side when Messi is out. Btw whats happening with Bojan he seems to have faded out of the Barca limelight :s

Fabregas won't move to Barca until he's in his prime, which, for most footballers, is around 26-29. By then, the boy could very well be the best footballer in the world, or at least, be one of them. The move to Barcelona is ineivetable, which, will of course be a sad day for all Gooners, but we'll have got many great matches/passes/goals and moments from him, and we'll no doubt get a nice cheque for him also.

So - when Fabregas does end up leaving, it'll be at a time when Barcelona, and other clubs, would love to have him, so they can play him week in, week out.

I doubt Barca will change their tactics & player positions just to accommodate one player… he is going to Barca one way or another but I have a feeling he will only be needed if Xavi moves on((highly unlikely)) or when Xavi finally retires.

Ramsey will take over Fabregas n doubt.

Xavi will retire or at least make way for Fab.

I also just realised that Iniesta is only 25...I was about to mention him, but then Wikipedia told me his age. God, I could've sworn he was 5 years older than that.
