This is less a forum for debate than a chance for me to rant. After watching Stephen Hunt come against for Reading against Liverpool, he contrived to throw himself to the ground histrionically on no fewer than 3 occasions in less than 20 minutes. This reminds me of previous incidents involving the player, and I have decided to proclaim him the "worst diver in the premiership"(r), following Mr Pires' and Mr Reyes' departure a couple of years ago.

You forget the inimitable Robben and the much-hated Ronaldo (or Droggie or Gerrard, for that matter).

How do you decide what is 'worst'? repetition? lack of accompanying talent? diving when skill would have been a better tactical option?

Most frequent and most theatrical are the two criteria. Talented or not.

Drogba I actually don't think is that bad a diver (he both dives well and doesn't do so anywhere near as often).

Ronaldo... perhaps. But Hunt made me sick.

Hmmmz... Most soccer players dives these days. I guess they train how to dive during trainings. Robben, Drogba, Ronaldo (i hate to say this), Torres (He also quite good at diving!) ^^

Hmmm. If only Dida was in the Premiership.

I must say, watching Middlesbrough players go down is quite theatrical. Particularly those who don't usually attack.

AHMED!!!! GERRARD!!!???!!! When have you seen him dive ever????? The one dubious occasion was on the fist day of last season against Sheffield United, but looking back that was a foul too since he was thrown off balance in a bid to avoid an atrocious tackle from Morgan(?).

As for the diver, I would say that it is still Robben despite the fact that he has been gone for a few months now ;) seriously I would have to go for Ronaldo (ashamed to say this). Drogba does not do it as much anymore. Totti does take the Footy Oscars though.

    Cue the Nani jokes...

Andrei-I remember watching an England match (i don't know why) where he dived to get a peno. Can't remember which match though....

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.
