Will Rafa survive to see Stanley Park?

Latest news out of Liverpool suggests that Gillett and Hicks are ready to extend Rafa Benitez's contract and tie him down for a few more years. Rafa himself is on record several times as saying that he loves Liverpool, loves the fans and wants to stay for a long, long time.

On the other hand, financially the new stadium is in a bit of rut - Liverpool didn't secure the extra bank loan for the stadium because they couldn't afford the steep interest rates, and the owners still have to refinance their takeover debt which is causing a problem as well.

Will Rafa stay till 2011? Will Stanley Park be built by then? Discuss.

i dont think the stadium will be finished by then.as for rafa,unless he wins the premiership in the next 2 years,he is out.the fans will not respond well to continued failure

You don't have to know lots of chords to play songs that matter

well honestly i dont think liverpool is playin a gd football, i think the way of their passing is still not gd as chelsea, manu and of course arsenal the best. but in the other hand rafa is a gd tatician, he knows his opponent weaknesses and etc. so well lets give rafa 2-3 years to prove himself worthy to the club. win a premier league thts all. maybe its gonna be this year? next year? who knows but honestly i think arsene is the best manager currently.

I agree Arse is the best in that department but you've got to be kidding me if you think Chelsea is in their league (IN THAT DEPARTMENT)...did u see Chelsea's goals yesterday ??? That's what I'd call "Chelsea's Goals", simply.

duffman90, if you mean besides 18 league titles, 5 Champo League titles and 3 three FA Cup titles, 3 Champo League Semi-Finals, four Champo League Quarter-Finals, being in the best ever Prem match, Champo League Final match and FA Cup final match.

And not to mention being named the most succesful English Club in history.
