Hello, i am new here, but i have a big question, why isn't Per Mertesacker sign for man utd yet, isn't he one of the underrated CB in the world? i am a Utd fan and keep wondering that when Rio retired, it will be up to Vidic and J.Evans to secure the back line but with Vidic aging......

anyway, is it because Per Mertesacker is injury-prone, too much weakness or the adaption of the English game?

please, i want to hear your thought..

vidic is like 27 and rio 29 or 30 they still have 6 and 3 more years out of them.

Met should sign for Milan or even Arsenal.

but consider Vidic and Rio are getting older, do you think they have what it takes to perform? look at Gary Nevile for example. i think man utd must started considering Per as the replacement for Rio so when rio get older then per can replace him and partner either Vidic or Evans for the CB spot.

German defenders are never the cut for the PL. maybe the Spainsh or Italian leagues, but not the PL. hack look at Metzelder for Real, he isnt doing well.

Meatsack is second-rate. He's slow and stupid. The EPL demands quickness. Watch Germany enough and you'll see how Ballack is always in his face, yanking his chain. I can think of 30 young Centre Backs who are better and, besides, with Jonny Evans, Craig Cathcart and Corry Evans in the wings, this is not a problem position for United. Meatsack makes Richard Dunne look like lightning! Sign 'im up Shitty!

Forza, The newspaper hacks at the News of the World tossed that silly fantasy rumour out. It took six and a half seasons of desperately trying to replace Jaap Stam and Ronny Jonsen with Rio, Laurent Blanc, Brown and Silvestre before we got the right guy in Vidic.

the thing with Nevile is he wasnt 1/4 of Vidic or Rio in his prime......

Gary Neville was a fine right back in his prime. He's no Centre Back, except in an emergency.
