Recently, everyone outside of the City of Newcastle seems very critical of Kevin Keegan and saying that he hasn't been involved in Football for so long that he doesn't have any contacts and that even when he was at Manchester City, he was mediocre.

So to all you critics, here's your chance,
If you were manager of Newcastle and had a limited kitty and in order to really fund any big signings you'd have to sell a couple of stars. Who would you buy, remember, there are a lot of players who wouldn't want to come to Newcastle because of their lack of European football. Also, because Sam Allardyce has spent significant money in the Summer you'll have to buy wisely

Tim Cahill - I'm not saying that because he's an Aussie but he has been playing awesomely for Everton and behind Yakubu is the best player there.
Everton wouldn't let him go for cheap, so Maybe 7-9 Mil.

Adriano, if he proves himself back in Brazil - He'd come fairly cheaply and although it is a gamble, he would play well in the Premier League.

Ricardo Queresma is fantastic - He's playing great now for Porto and will be a great future prospect at only 23. He won't come cheap though as he has been linked with 25 Million pound moves to big clubs like Real..

Interesting about Lucio. Kyle, realistically, Cahill wouldn't move to Newcastle even if they promised him the whole city, he's got a better shot at Europe with Everton than Newcastle. Adriano won't come to Newcastle, don't forget, he's still an Inter player and if he plays well in Brazil, Inter'll hold onto him real tight. Besides, why would he pick Newcastle, he's got to be at least semi-ambitious. You're right, Queresma is Fantastic, but can King Kev convince him to don Black and White? I don't think so, would you rather play for Real or Newcastle if they're offering the same money. The way things are shaping up, I don't even think Onyewu would come back...

So he needs to sell to get money, right?

Emre - could be sold for a good 7 mil
Barton - will anyone take him? If 'yes' than a 5 mil cash injection will be made
Ameobi - so he's an injured wreck, but as long as Sunderland paid 6 mil for Jones, Ameobi could be sold for around the same price.

If you are counting, that is 18 mil pounds raised and we will add another 7 million from the generous owner.

de la Pena - Espanyol genuis playmaker. He is wanted so will not be cheaper than 10 mil given his age. You can forget about inability to score as long as this guy is in your team.
King - yes, the one from Tottenham. He is a great talent, but has been very unfortunate with injuries. Given his current state of fitness he will come 'cheap' at 8-10 mil.
Kewell - put it this way: he is not getting much at Liverpool. Yet he is great. Newcastle hardly seems the way out for a player who has been battling injuries for the past 2-3 years, but it would be worth a shot. For 7 mil + Duff you will have a great left wing.

    Cue the Nani jokes...

de la Pena would be a fantastic signing for them but would he trade the possibility of champions league with espanyol for a slight chance of UEFA cup football with newcastle?

    Newcastle, what a predicament.........
you ever see the movie goal? well it was rubbish.
    They need a player with flair(or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5)
Scratch that, they need an almost completely new team.
People who dont get injured, who are strong and athletic. I dont care who they are. They should start with bringing back nolberto solano as well as trying to bring in jamike o'hara. a player like maybe boyd could do a world of good. Bring in a player like David nugent to provide depth. search africa, who cares. just find players kk. You need someone who can really lead you rteam, and pick them up now that they are SOOOOOOO far down. I say the one player that they need............................................. is figo
