Which 6 players will Everton sign this summer?

   Moyes:

   We need to bring in probably five or six players and we haven't brought any in yet. We need to be quite busy in the coming weeks. We're missing bodies and we've got injured players not available. Our numbers are so short and we've got injuries, too."

   The same article quotes the Everton director as saying that Joao Moutinho of Sporting Lisbon is a likely arrival, although his price tag is likely to be huge (for a non-Champions League club that is).

   Who else will Everton sign? Darren Fletcher has been touted as a possible signing - can you guys name the four other possible targets?

   I'd say the 4 other signings could be anyone of the following:

   City's Michael Johnson, Spurs' Pascal Chimbonda and Darren Bent, and maybe even Galataseray's Mehmet Topal.

   I don't think Moyes will get 5 or 6 signings though, especially if they nab Moutinho

   Moutinho's their main target. Moyes has done a good job and always made sensible decisions. Moyes has signed players like Johnson, Yakubu, Fernandes in the last few years and all of them have done well. I think whoever Everton sign, they'll make a huge impact/

   They're interested in Celtic's Scott McDonald, but even though I'm sure they have the money to pay for him (probably 10m, at most, if Celtic value him that highly), Celtic may not be interested in selling.

   They've also been linked with Stephane M'Bia, a Cameroonian midfielder that plays at Rennes. Pretty inexpensive (4m, I think), young (22), and has international experience (played for Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations). He's a defensive midfielder, but he can score some goals as well. Would be a good signing.

   chimbonda is going to sunderland. him, kaboul, malbranque and tainio.

    Moutinho is a fantastic footballer, but he's tiny. IF they get him, Everton will also need an enforcer like Scott Brown or Stefan M'Bia who can take care of Moutinho, Cahill and Arteta.This is the first thing Everton need. Moyes is a shrewd shopper, but it's going to be really difficult to stock up the squad this year on a budget.He needs to find out who Brucey's scout is in Central America.

    Chimbonda's probably going. Kaboul I've heard probably isn't. Wonder what Newcastle are doing as Kaboul and Chimbonda would do great for the Geordies as well.

    Yeah, they completely do. I wonder how much the paid for Gutierrez and if he's going to be the next legend (of flops).

    I heard Chimbonda might go to Hamburg to join Martin Jol.

    Haha, Geordie Dreams, Geordie Dreams...try to ignore them foster..

    Chimbinda's set for Sunderland along with atleast two of the other players in that Tottenham quartet which might move to Sunderland..
