Basketball used to be my fave sport to watch but things just haven't been the same since Jordan left the NBA; Kobe's just a pale imitation of Jordan and he can't be mentioned in the same breath as Jordan (yet). The Olympics rekindled my interest in Volleyball (though at my height of 1.87m or 6 and a half feet, I would probably too short for a volleyballer)...ppl think it's just whaling away on the volleyball but there's actually a lot of tactics in volleyball...handball looks like it could be pretty fun to play too...

    Fave Sports to Watch:

    1. Football/Soccer
    2. Volleyball
    3. Basketball

    Fave Sports/Activities to Indulge in:

    1. Cardio: Stair Running
    2. Pumping Weights in the Gym
    3. Football/Soccer/ Freestyle Football, Futsal, Street Football

Ibra's Abracadabra will help Barca win their second Treble, and Eto'o will revitalize Inter Milan!!

fosterfirst so surely you can achieve Phelps' achievements in Beijing? some ppl act like they're not impressed by swimmers and their achievements but they don't know how demanding on your body it can be...I used to be a varsity swimmer, so I can appreciate the magnitude of Phelps' achievements...for Phelps to win the 8 golds he did, EVERYTHING had to go right for him that week...I think he had some divine intervention on his side...:)

I like hurley too!! Forgot to mention it. Can't say I am a really big fan because I have only seen a couple of games, but if they were to take football away tommorow, I would go for hurley...

Girls' tennis? That is kinda bad. I mean there are some hotties (sorry if I offend any girls on this forum), but the games are just bad and most of the girls are not even sexy... on the other hand, Ivanovic v Sharapova would be some final!!

Women's tennis? Even Rhina, my lipstick lesbian factotum, thinks the cupboard is pretty bare save for a couple of Russians. Boxing and basketball in the U.S. are so corrupted that they ought to be labeled, like WWE wrestling as Sports Entertainment. Charles Barkley had me on the floor giggling last week when he was telling jokes about the Lakers betting against themselves. Live: I love footie, rugby, especially women's rugby, ice hockey and pelota/Jai Alai. On T.V. you can't beat baseball or Australian Rules Football, which turns the wife on no end.

Legs and Pegs, tits and tips all together with those sweaty lips make women's tennis quite a ringer in my book!

Ahmed, the wife sees me coach kids' football, but I'm sure she gets a better aesthetic experience from watching those Australian Rules Football guys.

How many of you have heard of something called Slamball? It's a full-contact sport that incorporates basketball and trampolining into something like a real-life version of NBA Street )(the video game)...check out some vids on youtube...it's sick...:)

How many of you have heard of chinlone, which is a sort of group freestyle football dance played by the Burmese, primarily at a ceremonial or religious functions? Please check out this vid on youtube, quite beautiful to watch, and involves some female "freestylers"...:)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OADmYiqwlvI

Can any of you think of any other sports that involve kicking the ball or another object as an important part of the gameplay? Sepak Tekraw from SE Asia comes to mind. Also, footbag and hacky sack and jianzi from CHina (kicking a "shuttlecock"). And of course, footvolley. I'm interested about these variants on kicking games and how they might help the budding footballer perfect their skills.

Speaking of females, are there any ladies on this forum? or is it a sausage fest?
