Simple question was bringing the legend back a good idea for the Toon?

My view, it was a good move for Alan he's got nothing to loose everyone expects to see the toon to go down.
But as for Newcastle i think bringing in a more experienced boss would have been better. But having said that not experienced gaffer would touch Newcastle with a ten foot pole...

when i first heard about it ,the word "desperassion" came to mind but the more i get sucked in by the media the more i think to myself that this is genius.what more do the magpies need than a cult hero firing them up for the battle ahead not only that but shearer has decided to bring a wise and experienced head with him in iain dowie, shearer may be inexperienced but dowie's been there and done it at the foot of the premiership table and thats exactly whats needed in this current situation.good move all round.

4 first team coaches in now.for crying out loud that is just plain crazy.shearer back might boost them but i still se newcastle going down.they deserve to i think.and im gonna laugh hard when they do

I'm with you scot if the toon go down its curtains for them and that would be terrible. But i think the toon need a whole sale clean up from top to bottom. Ian Dowie was a smart move on shearers part, Dowie's bin there and got the t-shirt. But i'd like to see someone like Alan Curb's put there in the summer.
