So there are rumours that Walcott may be sent out on loan...

Newcastle is one option, but if Wenger wants Walcott to get regular playing time on the pitch then he should go to Sunderland or something.

    What do you guys think?

I saw this on Arseblog and I don't think it'll happen - He has a future here and people forget how very, very young he is.

Sunderland... Mmmm maybe, But i'd say a 8-15th placed side.

I am not convinced the lad is good enough to play for Arsenal. A loan might suit him well, but in the end he will probably have to settle for a smaller club to continue his career. Derby is actually a better loan option, because he will get the chance to shine among non-shiners.

    Cue the Nani jokes...

I don't think the choice should be down to the club and I really don't think that with Arsenal's track record of loaning out youngsters, he should go to a bottom of the table side (see Pennant and Bentley)

Juv3, he does not have to go to a bottom-of-the-table club, but it is his best option if he wants first team football - not like Rossi to Newcastle.

Pennant and Bentley are of a different class. Both much better than Walcott.

andrei, I think I miswrote in my haste, I meant to say "should he go to a bottom side club". As for the debate over where he should go should ultimately be decided by him and not Arsenal, because he needs to decide what he thinks is best for his career and not what Arsenal thinks is best for him.
I do not think that Newcastle is the best option, but I really don't think you're being entirely fair about Rossi, I thought he got quite a bit of playing time while he was there and did Man Utd not benefit from his going there? Sure, players' careers go to Newcastle to die, but I think that he'd benefit from training with the likes of Obafemi Martins and Michael Owen more than say, Michael Chopra (speaking of which, whatever happened to him, I haven't seen much of him since he scored that late winner against 'Spurs)

I really don't think so - I think he has a future here and he's only 18, a decade away from his prime, I think we need to show faith and I hope he does improve a little more or else this whole "Wenger hates poms" thing will continue...

He'll be fine, he's still a ways off, remember no one would know him if Sven hadn't picked him for the WC. I think a loan would do him well and help his chances. Newcastle aren't scoring but are still stocked at the front, even with the permanently injured Amoebi and Owen, so I don't think that's a good spot for him. Maybe Sunderland?
