There are hundreds of teams all over the world that would like to have the No.1 goalkeeper in the world in their team. So don’t be surprised when I ask you why the hell Juve bought Jess Vanstrattan when they already have Gianluigi Buffon and Emanuele Belardi.

Yes, we did sell Mirante (that was stupid). But why did we go buy an unknown Australian goalkeeper (sorry aussies, but you guys don’t have enough experience for your players to be considered world-class) from verona when we could have easily bought Pascal Zuberbuhler (the only goalkeeper to not concede a goal in the World Cup, having reached the Round of 16) from Neuchatel Xamax? Or Andrea Consigli, a promising young goalkeeper, or even Marco Amelia, already Italy’s 2nd choice keeper. There are endless possibilities- so I ask, why Vanstrattan? He hasn’t proven himself, he wasn’t even Verona’s first choice keeper. I hope that Juve offload him and Belardi in January and get Zuberbuhler and Consigli or Amelia instead…

so, please tell me WHY THE HELL juve bought this unknown shithole?????

i see ur point, but hes cheap, and he was a decent keeper. Hes inexperienced but hes prob there beacuse Juventus saw potential and wanted to build him up for the future. Hes a good keeper now, 2 years on from ur post, and he doesnt play for juve anymore hes in Aus again dont worry.

    everton FC ftw!!!
I do not play for Sunderland BTW

Don't worry. He left and came back to Australia and played for the cashed-up, yet now kinda shit, Gold Coast United.

I couldn't name you more than two or three Australian keepers, much less ones actually playing in the A-League. Gawd.

Actually, a good Australian local keeper for you to look up is Galekovic. Eugene Galekovic (Adelaide United) had a stunning campaign at the ACL: Taking Adelaide to the Club World Championships. There should be a video. Clint Bolton (Sydney) would be a good one aswell.
