Good performance from the lads, energy levels seemed high and it was nice to not only see Valencia producing some great form but the young lad Cleverly really showed he has what it takes against good opponents. Evra brought his box of tricks with him as well, he looked like he was after Ronaldos show pony role.

I think the team played very well overall, Nani even seemed to stop showboating and started to even play a bit too! I was also impressed by Cleverly his awareness was excellent and he had the skill to go with it. I don't think we're looking like we miss Ronaldo all that much now

Plus some of the football we played was stunning, much better than last seasons.

Thats exactly what I took from that game, we played a damn decent team and our play was fast and furious. There seems to be no Ronaldo hangover, and we weren't sluggishly holding onto the ball without any real penetration into their defensive line. I was thoroughly impressed with a lot of the players.

Tommy Cleverly looks like a better prospect than Darron Gibson. A few nice hard tackles, some nice crisp passing and a goal. Notbad at all! Seeing as Ferguson doesn't look to be willing to spend inflated dosh on a midfielder, I expect Cleverly to get a bit of playing time in before Hargreaves is fully fit.
I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!! -

If Gibson could just stop the mistakes, be able to tackle and be more aggressive in midfield he would be excellent for us

He gave out a better long balls than Scholes did against Bayern. He didn't look out of his depth or break up our flow, he settled in smoothly. Cleverly and Macheda seemed to link up really well down the left hand side as well, I can't rememeber who they were up against but they were passing around them as if they were training cones.

Not always the best influence, a drunken duffman.
duffman is now a noun, by the way. As is "duff of a man".
