Here is the way it looks like its going to go down for Spurs:
Players in: Modric, Dos Santos, PSV Eindhoven's Gomes, and probably David Bentley as well as possibly Arshavin

Players Out: Robinson, Keane, Gardner, Chimbonda, Cerny, Tainio, and probably Berbatov

Has Tottenham had the best off-season and transfer window of any team in the Premiership? If not, then who has? Why?

What? I didn't foul him, I just nudged him a bit

if all of those 'probably' and 'possibly' do happen, then they surely might as well have.

If they performed well in the pre-season matches, they can be in the Top 4...no doubt about it...

A great paper team for Spurs but it's going to take at least a season for things to gel. Neither Comolli nor Levy could conjure up a wank in a brothel, so I expect a lot of backstabbing (the usual!) if they don't start winning right away. With luck, they'll reverse last year's late exhaustion and get it together for a late second-half run. 2009-2010: I expect they'll be ready!

I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!!

either way with our without the signing of Arshavin Tottenham really have bought well - but part of me thinks they have bought well in the wrong place. Their defense is weak and with Ledley and Woodgate being what they are (sick notes), they need good quality back up - this will be where they slip I think - I can't even for the life of me think who their full backs are at the top of my head - can anyone remind me?

Quality additions on paper, mix of talents for the future and for present. If all of the signings work out, then they could push for a top-four finish this year. Hoooooowever, a couple of defensive additions would be a good idea. I know, they have plenty of guys in the back line, but with the injuries and the fact that they gave up a lot of goals last season, it doesn't hurt to address that area at least a little bit.

Ben: Their fullbacks are Hutton and Gilberto. Gareth Bale ought to be ready soon, right? Not a bad pair.

I have no idea if they are good or not to be honest! Gilberto and Hutton are an unknown entity to me - I cant see Tottenham getting into the top four - they will have a lull point in their season which will inevitably mean they will slip down the table - look at how they ended last season? Terribly, other than drawing with Chelsea (which I think was Chelsea's downfall) near the end of the season they really didnt produce much. They are notorious faders and that is down to their defense being shoddy - I really cant see King and Woodgate lasting a season either.
