City needed Kompany then & they had to get him! If they waited untill the end of the season Arsenal, United or any other Big club would have pounced & got him!

Beattie and Sorensen....together helped save Stoke.

Milner made a great escape from a toilet-bowl club...

Bosingwa was a good catch for us...

Arshavin was good for the Gooners

    and Fellaini for Everton....

    Beyond those...nobody else really....

even though he had a very dry patch in the second half of the season and maybe was a bit of a dissapointment i think robinho deserves to be in the top ten. being a top 5 scorer in your first season in the premiership is worthy of some credit

Granted... but for 32m??!! He needs to show that sort of return for at least another 2 seasons before he is classed as a good signing. The Same is true with Torres. He needs AT LEAST another good season to justify the price tag. People just seem to be less assured with the likes of Robinho.

    Time will tell!

Robinho and Berbatov were too expensive. Torres last year was a top buy. That's the difference between 13 goals and 26.

1stly Robinho scored 14 goals not 13. 2ndly last season was more open hence Ronaldo being top scorer with 31 goals as apposed to this season when it was Anelka with 19 goals. Also Torres is a Striker whereas no matter wt any1 says Robinho is a winger!

if hes never played as an orthodox winger, how can be classified as one?hes always played as a forward,or a full on striker

Cristiano Ronaldo only set up 6 all season & he plays the exact same way as Robinho & ever1 classes him as a Winger! & only 4 goals less than last years player of the year can't be bad.

the reason for this being is because ronaldo IS a winger..that's the position he's put on.

also I think Riera deserves a mention - for £8m or so, he's made a great impact by scoring goals and he's a fantastic crosser

Riera's overrated!!! 3 Goals 3 Assists in 24 starts is pretty shit from how I see it! Espec when Babel gets 3 Goals 1 Assist in 6 start!

Riera's decent. He's got a good energy tank and is pretty useful to Liverpool and I was really surprised that Liverpool got the best of him..or rather should I say someone like Benitez got the best of him.

Riera is getting picked ahead of David Silva in Confederations Cup..that shows that he had a rather good season. My only qualm with Riera is his inability to last a full 90 minutes. But he always provides quality crosses and makes good runs. Tailed off toward the end of the season but this may just be a fitness issue (remember Liverpool only signed him on deadline day and he would have done pre-season training with a lackadaisical Spanish side that plays a low tempo game.

With regard to Ronaldo, he is NOT a winger. I know he is supposed to play there but he is never on the right wing, when you watch him play. Watch a Man U match and only watch Ronaldo with your eyes, he is hardly on the wing. If Neville does go to Boro then Man U have a problem on the right, if it wasn't for Neville saving Ronnie's arse so many times last season when opposition sides broke away down the left (Man U's right) because of Ronaldo's absence, Man U would've conceded much more goals.

Wts with all the fools coming to the site atm? lolz! Neville didn't cover Ronaldo it was O'shea & Ninja twin Rafael who covered for him on the right!!!! Nev did fuck all!! & the confed cup is a crappy tournament! if u truelly think Riera is better than David Silva then u don't know football!!

I still think Riera had a decent season but Albert Riera is NOT better than David Silva.
