Oasis were great in their day but do many people care that much anymore, when was the last time they released anything really good?

Umm, I think you call it a one-hit-wonder followed by slavish repetition of formula. "Beatle bum/what have you done?"

Ah well you're from the British Isles, so you naturally love them. When I lived in Bristol, EVERYBODY FUCKING DID. I really only like Champagne Supernova, too.

Wait, who made that "Top 5 Songs" list? The official Oasis fanclub?

Liversea- first you go after his beloved band then you stick the knife in with the British isles comment. Things could get ugly :o

Geographically speaking, Ireland is part of the British isles, just not part of Britain itself.

Oh, and, on another list made by Rolling Stone Magazine (far more reliable than some top of pops poll), not a single Oasis song made the list of top 500 songs. How's that?

You guys are cracking me up! Geography is one thing, history is another. May I suggest you read a few books on Anglo/Irish animus. And speaking of Oasis and their 'greatness', if you really want to hear the Beatles rearranged and transmogrified in a truly meaningful and, above all, clever way, listen to the pristine brilliance of Red Kross' 'Phase Shifter.'

Look, I know the Anglo-Irish feud and the historical significance of it. I'm not saying they're british, just part of the "archipelago", shall I say, that includes England. That archipelage is called "The British Isles". /debate.
