Sir Alex Ferguson insists Carlos Tevez has no need to feel aggrieved at a lack of games for Manchester United this season.

Tevez is desperate to play more often for United and provided Ferguson with a major selection dilemma ahead of this evening's clash with managerless Sunderland by scoring four times against Blackburn in the Carling Cup in midweek.

"We are not being dismissive of the problem but it is not as if Carlos has been short of games," said Ferguson.

"We are not saying he must sit on his hands because we have Berbatov and Rooney.

"He is playing enough games and I am sure he will be pleased with his performance on Wednesday.

"You don't get many players who score four goals these days and it got us into a semi-final."

Ferguson has spent time working out how he can accommodate his star strikeforce.

In truth, he cannot, especially as Ballon D'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo also expects to be involved.

It means someone is bound to be frustrated on an almost continual basis.

However, Ferguson prefers that situation than the alternative.

"It is obvious Carlos doesn't enjoy it," said the United chief.

"He wants to play. But do I want players who are quite happy to sit in the stand?

"I have to manage that situation the best I can. I understand he wants to play. I want to pick a team that wins. I have to be as fair as I possibly can. Performances do matter and his performance on Wednesday gives me a big problem."

No i won't. You can't have a Premier world player that could start on any team in the World...in his prime, warming your bench. Not even Manchester....he'll leave.

And he's form Argentina....South American players don't really subscribe to this idea of unfailing loyalty to English Clubs....they see it as an opportunity but unlike Scottish, Irish and English players they aren't honor bound to any English club and will leave once the climate doesn't suit them.

So you all have about a year a most to resolve that but I know he's not going to play second fiddle for long. He has too much talent and he knows it.

It's been pretty clear that Carlitos isn't coming back next season ever since Berbatov signed on the dotted line. I absolutely respect Tevez 100% for not being a crybaby and going on about his business and think Ferguson is making a mistake, but there it is. I think Ferguson and Gilly held their noises when dealing with Kia Joorabchian and that one of the two concerned parties must have moved the goalpost during negotiations. Still, even if the Gaffer feels certain that Karim Benzema is in the bag, all the world is a pubic hair away from economic chaos if there are three or four more jihadi shoot-'em-ups like the one in Mumbai.

I STILL MISS NOBBY & BOBBY!!!

I agree, but actions speak louder than words. I think the Gaffer has already made his mind up.
